The main site (Solo2.com) has the banner as well, and I've also made a NEWS announcement and stickied it til the day after the event.

Re: F1 China GP

Now if only my beloved Ferrari could get into the game.... :unimpressed: How the MIGHTY Scuderia from Maranello have fallen!!! I love it! Goes to show that if Ferrari doesn't have a tire manufacturer in their back pocket (i.e. Michelin) then they're hopeless. The ironic thing is Pirelli is an...

Then title this thread as something else and put it in Solo Talk , I thought you were talking about registration for the ProSolo, since we are in Events and this thread is titled "FYI, ProSolo". Confused! I admittedly didn't pay careful attention to what Mako wrote, kinda like people obvi...

Re: FYI, ProSolo

Not sure how that would have helped Mako's newb that couldn't sign up for the ProSolo. Would have just confused him more. Actually he wasn't even trying to sign up for the ProSolo. He just wanted to take pictures and wanted to know whom to contact. All that hoopla for nothing. Our main site has lot...

Re: New to California and a thank you!

I am still reading and trying to understand how your club runs events with the points cards, but I think I will be able to figure it out. Hi Gabe, I'm the points card membership chairman. Basically a points card number guarantees you that number for the calendar year on your car and points are trac...

Re: FYI, ProSolo

Giovanni I was trying to find more info on photographing the El Toro event. I knew the requirement for using a spotter, but didn't know who to contact. I wasn't able to locate specific info about spotters. I did go to the El Toro event and Doug quickly set me up with a spotter for the first group. ...

Re: FYI, ProSolo

As a newbie I am fully qualified to weigh in on this subject.... I have to agree with Mako. The web site is not user friendly. If the ony contact I had with Solo was the web site I would have missed alot of good Autocross!!!! Thank you for the comments Jerry. Can you give an example of what you wer...

Re: FYI, ProSolo

It's "doable" the way it is now. I also don't think it's too hard for them to think of going to the Message Boards -> Events. However, wouldn't it be more user-friendly if there was a link associated w/ the Google Calendar entry (i.e. the one you posted in this thread, Gio; or even just t...

Plenty of points but if I have to explain it to you then that's a whole other issue. THAT is The ISSUE ! ... it shouldn't have to be explained to me let alone a Newbie :? The description for the event should have a link to the msr page and/or the official page: http://www.scca.com/event.aspx?hub=3&event=17168 Well if a newbie has a question then they can e-mail anyone on the E-Board via the Contacts page on the main website. It should be easier for newcomers to ...

Re: FYI, ProSolo

By not making it easy to find anything about the auto cross this coming weekend, we discourage newbies. Well the countless threads under "Events" that say ProSolo such as this one: 2011 El Toro Pro Solo 4/8-4/10 were easy to find. The forums is divided into sections. One is "EVENTS&q...

Re: E46 M3 2004 engine issues

I think a lot of late model BMW's are going to be biting 2nd owners due to the 15000 mile OC interval recommended by mfg. Throw in "lifetime" automatic transmission fluid & you are holding a grenade with a pulled pin. Don't let go. :( Wow... you are "Mr Good News" Bob!... hi...
