Re: Fun autocross car that can fit a baby car seat? Rx8?

Thanks Rick for the suggestions. I'd love to have an Evo some day but its out of the budget for now. I like the BMW too. (my dad has the same one) Wife says no to the 2 door though. A big thank you to everyone for their ideas. I appreciate it. Good luck with your search. Had a couple of people alre...

Re: Fun autocross car that can fit a baby car seat? Rx8?

May be more than what you've budgeted for, but I'm selling a bascially showroom new Evo 8 for a friend (Chuck W.). Has ~12k miles, and new stock Yokohama tires. Plenty of room for child seat and more. $22.5k, less $ than an FRS with a lot more power, forged alum suspension, momo wheel, recaros, enki...

Re: Supertrapp for Civic

Stephen, Your civic is loud because the original mufflers/resonators are blown out. As far as I remember you've had the same exhaust system since 2007. You should consider replacing the resonators/mufflers with lightweight options via (coastfab or burns). +1. Also can clamp an elbow to the end of t...

- Ram air intake. - Mill head. - Weld/clamp angle steel to stock sway bars? Double up stock bars? - Source some longer junkyard springs, and cut some coils to increase spring rate. - Widen steel wheels. Use hub adaptors, or redrill lug holes to use cheap wider wheels and tires. - Cut out fenders to ...

Clark's house of suspension in Lake Forest has very fair prices for BMW brakes, used him many times.

10 car Transporter to Nats - One spot open, $900

Hi,
We had someone drop out, so there is a space open for transporting another car to Nats.
The transporter will be in Lincoln the Friday before the ProSolo Finale, and leave at the end of Nats.
Cost is discounted to $900 obo, to help with late air fare, etc.

Thanks,
Rick

I think a few autocrossers are up there, including Chris Lin in 27th. I'm happy to be in the top 1,000. :) It'd be fun to see a master like Jeff in action!

Honestly, I'm a little surprised that the C5 idea seems to be well received. Just because STU drivers haven't said anything, doesn't mean we like it. :D Pure sports cars like Corvettes and 350Zs don't match the original charter of the class. Like how SSM RX7s, Z06s and GTRs are faster than SM sedan...

Of course the added camber will effect tire life if driven on the street ... which is part of what this is about, right ... not trailering "stock" cars. What we did in our STX/STU/WRX/STI's is had Camber/Caster plates that gave us our track setting of maxed out camber and caster (slot was...

Re: May FasTrack

Just switching the class to street tires alone would be a step forward in terms of tire performance usability. With street tires you can still flip them on the rim and get great performance before they cord. Flipping R-Comps seems to be a waste of time/money IMO with the customers I see. They just ...

Bob Bondurant's driving school started there. Paul Newman was one of the first students. There was also a twisty dirt track that Subaru used to demo their car. Our office is on the old OCIR property.
