Re: Tire Mounting needed at El Toro Pro

There is a map showing some of the services around El Toro on the Solo2 web site under the Event Locations tab. There is a Big O tire store on Irvine Center Drive near Research Drive that is open during the week and on Saturday and Sunday. http://www.solo2.com/MiscDocuments/ElToroInfo.pdf" oncl...

Re: Missing feature on new web site

The points card listing is kept by the membership chairman and it's my understanding that it will eventually be available for viewing again via Google Docs, much like the calendar is now. I think there are still some kinks to work out before that happens. I hope it can be done by the next event in ...

Re: Is ESP dead? (locally)

What happened to ESP? I think it was a combination of things. First SCCA included the BMW's, then took them away when they dominated. Then they included the turbo imports which dominated locally and to some extent nationally. They are still there. ESP used to be like CP, the "spec" class ...

Re: New website!

The new web site is very slick. I did the clear dns cache before going into it. I still have a problem with some of the pull-downs being behind the video clips. Also, I went into the 2013 Sup Regs and it wouldn't let me go back. Finally, where is the list of points card holders? The one that was on ...

Re: Rules question

When that formula was developed many, many, many years ago (I was there on the rules committee, but not the one who came up with the concept), from what my now feeble mind remembers it was to reward consistency. We had issues with people coming in, getting 100 points for some minimum number of even...

Re: 1970s AutoX driver ID??

Help! I am trying to identify the owner of a 1958 Porsche Speedster that was reputedly a TTOD AutoX contender in the San Diego area in the mid to late 1970s. The car was yellow and had Centerline aluminum wheels. It probably ran in an improved or modified class. I have been gathering old results fo...

Re: Home security camera systems DIY

I had a Qsee 4 channel video recorder system with one camera for about a year. The unit worked well until the hard disc died. I had put in a name brand drive and the manufacturer replaced the drive. I still have the recorder. The camera still works in daylight but the infared leds stopped working af...

2001 & 2002 Awards Program

Does anyone have the awards banquet program for 2001 and 2002?
I'm looking for the final team points for those 2 years. Team points are not shown on the Solo2 web site with the old results.
Can anyone please help?
Thanks.

Re: Online Registration - Is it time? SDR Edition

In LA there was resistance to the online registration too. There is always resistance to change. We implemented our own custom registration software for a while before going to MotorsportsReg. Both solutions took a while to gain acceptance, but online reg is now accepted and I think would be expecte...

Second: Is there any issue with entry or other for a visiting SCCA Soloist to come down and run with Cal Club at El Toro? Any weekends better than others? Can a visitor run both the practice and points days? (OK, technically that was question 2, 3, 4 and 5)... Just a reminder that the first event a...

Re: Maxim header for 01 Miata head

I have used Ace Auto Care in Santa Ana to build the headers in both Mustangs. I was very happy with the build quality and they dynoed well.
Talk to Jose 714-543-5992. I believe he worked for one of the big header manufacturers at one time. Does custom headers for all sorts of cars.

I used a shop in Santa Ana. Custom stainless headers and exhaust pipes. They fixed the clearance problem I had and the work was excellent. Easy to work with.
Ace Auto Care, 401 E. First St. 714-543-5992. Ask for Jose.
