Re: Control Arm Bushing Material
I'm only guessing here... ts probably not an issue of not being able to replace the bushings, but rather, GM does not sell rubber bushings alone, only the entire control arm, and aftermarket bushings that are available, are not rubber (aka OE type and material). Does this more or less sum up the pr...

Control Arm Bushing Material
I posted to the SEB my thoughts re the control arm bushing material for C5's. The ongoing issue is that for those of us running A6/710 tires the stock rubber control arm bushing won't hold up for even one full season. As the control arms creep on the bushings, alignment settings go away, such that i...

Re: How to address issue with rules
Thanks KJ. I sent a note (#5678) outlining my concerns. I suspect I'm just another voice in this issue, but I have to think that if enough voice are heard, some action might ensue.

How to address issue with rules
What is the procedure to addressing an issue to the national board? Specifically, in my case, control arm bushing material. Because the C5 rubber bushings are not replaceable, it's a $1000 year to replace the control arms if you're running sticky tires. That's not right. I have to believe cars sit b...

Re: Lincoln co-drive
by Craig Naylor on 31 Jul 2011 21:44 HI Steve, I have a ride for the Pro, but I'm looking for one for Nationals. I haven't been to Nationals, but I've been around the Autocross block for 13 years now, with 14 or 15 Nat Tours, and about the same for Pro Solo's. I just want a car that is competitive,...

I never thought about that aspect. Pretty lame on my part.by Mark DeShon on 30 Jul 2011 20:15
Man, Steve... you waited till the price went way up to ask. Great opportunity for someone willing to pony up the dough, though.

Lincoln co-drive
I'm toying with the idea of getting a co-driver with Nationals experience for this years Pro and Nats. I'd appreciate your thoughts and input on this. I'm sure I'll be nervous wreck when I'm up there  so someone who has experience on that stage would likely be a benefit to me. A Stock 2000 Co...

Re: Tire Transport to Nats
And nothing else...............Two 275s in the trunk, one 315 in each seat... No one needs to sit in the drivers seat when its on the trailer
Actually, the 275's won't fit into the trunk, so it's a moot point.

I'm still looking for a firm commitment for tire transport. I'm in central OC but I'll take them a fair distance to anyone willing to help out. Gas money included.

I'm thinking in the $400-$500 range. At some point I'd be buying features I'd never use or take advantage of.

Re: Laptop needed
Good stuff! But, back to (sorta) my original post. What's the minimum requirement for decent video playback? Is it about system ram, video card, combination?? I posted the low dollars thinking only about simple internet and email. I'm ok with more $$ for more usability. Not used for work, no high en...

I really know zip about laptops so I don't know what sorts of goodies $150-$200 might buy, but I think I'm in that dollar area. Certainly less would be better. ;)

I'd like to get a no frills laptop to take to Lincoln. Nothing special, just something to connect to internet, email, etc. Anyone have a used one that fits the bill? On the other hand, it would be nice to be able play back videos of my runs.
