All visual, car controls that don't react anything like the real thing, under conditions that are, well, simulated. :D :computer: I've got way more gran turismo hours then hours of racing anything else. 5. Drafting - yep some of the hyper mileage guys tuck in behind semis and tag along for the ride. I'm not sure I recommend following others too closely - besides you might get a ticket. What I do is less dangerous: Do the bulk of the accceleration when in the "draft" of a vehicle - e.g. b...

Re: How to get good gas mileage.

Apparently keeping a turbo'd car out of boost is good for 50% better gas mileage. Took a trip up to my parents house this weekend. Utilizing driving techniques that keep the ecu in closed loop mode (ie not the 10:1 AFR open loop mode) yeilded an average of 31.5mpg in my Evo. I normally get 20mpg ave...

Re: Increasing MPG with HHO ?

If you were making HHO from weight-less solar panels it could be considered a benefit. the electricity generated by the alternator is not free.

also carrying the weight of the water would reduce fuel economy.

the .gif can then be downloaded/uploaded to the server and the correct tag can be added with almost no brain power from the admins if they feel like doing it.

You wrap the the cloth around the journal then loop the shoe string around the cloth and pull back-and-forth on the string. Makes for even surfacing.

Re: Went to my first event and it was great

A trick you can use to overcome turbo-lag is to learn to left-foot brake. That allows you to get back on the gas and start spooling up the turbo before you release the brakes. On my 1.8t VW (auto!) you can only overlap for about a second before the ECU chops the throttle, but combined with braking ...

btw, I still have the brake pressure sensor. it reads up to like 100bar or something stupid like that. i might be interested in selling it. Is 100bar enough? I'd think you'd want closer to 250 (depending on where you mount the sensors). Marshall, you have something like this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/...

i'd guess that going up hill, rev limiter in 2nd is faster but doing down hill 3rd would be faster then 2nd. what's your topspeed in 3rd? The 2 downhill sections were the parts where he shifted to 3rd.. first downhill was boarderline worth it.. second one he went 2 miles per hour slower. 2mph slowe...
