Re: hobby astronomers? i need help locating the milky way

Jeff, we are the Milky Way, and everything visable is the Milky Way. That band of brighter stars can be seen, as Will said, from SE to NW. Good source of info:

Re: Cable Management

I have tried: 1. Little round plastic hide-a-cord stuff needed more room for more cables! 2. 1" x 1/2" rectangular hide-a-cord stuff needed less room and the adhesive removes paint, drywall and everythng else it sticks to. 3. Removed baseboard and forced the cable down in the slot between ...

How about some Hoosier slicks? I have a set of (4) - 20.0 x 9.5" x 13 Hoosier C3000, R25B compound tires that I'm looking to get out of my way. These came on some 13"x7" wheels that I bought. Looks like that are approx half-way through their life - still gummy. I can take photos if a...

Steve and Mako, just did a quick search and couldn't find the page....before, you could fill out a form at hoosiertire.com. Steve, You can put in an order for 4 new Hoosier wets and they will bring them to nationals. If it doesn't rain you do not have to buy them. I have done so in the past, this year I am taking another set of rims and will buy the wets....or a Kart depending on our local rules. The cost is about the sa...

Thanks for the clarification Bill. Didn't know it was a Sun/Mon vs. Sat/Sun event. If it was dry on the 2nd day, what was the issue that had AS, BS, CS, ES, STS (and several others) all running 3-5 second slower on the second day vs. the first day. While there are considerable coneage increases in ...

Re: SCCA Solo Class Article/Discussion

Hi Reijo, I think it's mostly the opposite. Most noobs come to the sport already having done a bunch of (questionable) mods and get told they can't run in stock class. I don't think there is much you can do to rectify that, except if they haven't done much, explain that they can put it back to stoc...

Re: Post Car Classing Help Questions Here!

Take your pick from the group of classes that we have locally that really do not have any rules: CSM: whatever you got on R-Dot tires (probably fits your idea of unlimited). CST: Whatever you got on Street tires (probably fits your idea of unlimited). Historic: pick a class (DSP, GP, DM, EM). SCCA c...
