Re: Flying Miata Shock Mounts for Koni shocks

Might be interested. I have a 92. Couple questions: Are the those spherical bearings in the top, or do they have an elastomeric part? What diam is the hole? Think they will fit Koni Sport shocks? I acknowledge Mako's dibs. Steve They won't fit a 99 as far as I know but you typically don't need the ...

The indent will straighten out when you take the nut off and probably end up in the same place when you retighten.

or the carefully hammer on reversed castle nut or you're screwed method. . Don't hammer on the reversed castle nut....... you hammer on the casting where the ball joint goes through. The tapered ball joint will drop out after a couple good wacks. You can also use an air chisel with a mushroom tip i...

Re: Miata NB Front Bearing Replacing

You may have trouble loosening the large nut..... I bought a cheap 3/4" drive impact gun & a set of 3/4" impact sockets at harbor freight just for getting this nut off a few years ago after breaking a 1/2" breaker bar. The big 3/4" drive gun has come in handy many times since.

Re: WTB 90-97 miata rear sway bar (stock)

I've got a stock 12mm rear bar with bushings but no mounting brackets or endlinks. $20.

I work in Orange about 20 minutes north on the 5 from El Toro.

Re: ST Civic - Emissions

OT- My header builder like the D series O2 bung up on one of the primary tubes. Is that a good place? Only reads one cylinder. Will the stock wiring reach? And what is legal for ST, does it matter? Older DC Sport D Series headers have the O2 Sensor on one of the primary tubes which is also the stoc...

Re: Calibrating scales

I think for corner weighting you could simply stand on each scale pad and verify if the readings are the same. If they are the same or within a couple pounds, the scales should be fine for corner weighting.

Bank of America

Here is a question for our money experts...... Is it time to buy banking stocks such as BofA which a year ago was at about $42 and is now in the $3-5 range? Will the big banks eventually come back making these stocks a bargain or is there no hope and banks such as BofA will be taken over by the feds...

Re: Car haulers - dropped axles?

Are there any fatigue issues with aluminum trailers? Not that I'm aware of. Mike Simanyi had a problem with his aluminum trailer that I repaired, but the issue was a poorly designed welded joint not the underlying material. Aluminum trailers, probably not but I would think twice about buying a 30 y...

Re: Car haulers - dropped axles?

The shortest open trailer on that site is 5200! Carson open deck steel starts at around 1600. I'd rather have a light trailer that doesn't rust. I have an all steel 14' Dico trailer that was built in 1980. Its an open deck duel drop axle trailer that tows great and according to the pink slip weighs...

The truck weighs about 4300 pounds by itself. Either the Frontier or Tacoma...

I don't know what it looks like in Fontana this morning but in Lakewood, it is absolute dead calm.....no wind at all.

For some reason when the Santa Ana's howl in other areas its calm here.
