Re: It's my lucky day.

Decide to walk up to the grocery store at lunch time. Check my lotto ticket from Saturday and I won $9. Bought four more tickets for the next draws and decide to get a Mocha from the Starbucks in the store. Put in my "preferred saving card" and score again. My next drink, up to $5 value, ...

Well, the leather and 10AE (Blue like Bill's and Karen's....and Seb's) have all the sport "goodies" on them but may be a bit heavier......but at least you know they have the goods. Reijo True, but it the Aniversary Edition also has a 6 speed transmission and different differential gearing...

Re: Dude! Where's my recession?

With the price of oil where it is, the smaller struggling oil companies who were able to weather the years of low prices should be able to open those marginal wells again. Should be good for some time to come John.

Re: Dude! Where's my recession?

There is not doubt about it, the spending power of the average American has been greatly reduced. People were using home equity to finance spending sprees. Now that's gone. And even people who have equity that might ordinarily tap into it, are leary. It has definately had an impact. Also, were it no...

Re: Dude! Where's my recession?

Dude! Where's my recession? Officially, just around the corner John. But unfortunately, for most of America, it's already here. ;) Lowering interest, while popular here, has weakened the dollar and stiffled foreign investment. Were it not for the fed proping up the economy with low interest rates, ...

To find other members, it appears one has to post the name exactly or it won't come up. Can we change that features so that we can search from just a few letters instead of the whole name? Re: It was a spun bearing on the #2 rod

You were serious about the emery cloth and string? I assume the emery would be to just break the glaze on the crank for seating the bearing? And the string? Inquiring minds want to know. Looks like the bearing got pretty hot. It was still in the basic shape but thin. Some of the bearing material had...

It was a spun bearing on the #2 rod

As many of you know, I had some noise coming from the bottom end of the S2000. I replace the shortblock, but I was curious about what caused the noise. It sounded like a spun rod bearing at the time, and sure enough it was. The crank appears to be unscathed. Can I just replace the bearings if everyt...
