Re: Stock Street Tire Idea?

It was partially word of mouth here in the SoPac region. What I meant was, when they did show up at nationals, how did the SEB know who was part of the STU group? I think it was 2005-2006 when STU was a supplemental class. As to HOW the SEB knew, perhaps what Craig mentioned (there must've been an ...

Re: Stock Street Tire Idea?

How did the STU participants communicate their participation? It was partially word of mouth here in the SoPac region. STU guys in Cal Club, contacted STU guys in SD region, and word spread up to SF region as well. It was truly a "grassroots" uprising. And for the BMW crowd, Bimmerforums....

Re: Stock Street Tire Idea?

I don't have a dog in this fight (and wouldn't mind ST tires in Stock) but here's a perfect example of a "put-up or shut-up" scenariou. STU class. When all the BMW M3s (E36 chassis) and the Subaru WRX STis, and the Mitsubishi Lancer EVOs had no street tire class to play, the SEB noticed t...

Re: BMW shop recommendation for pre-purchase inspection

Thanks, guys. I think GT International Motors is what the seller has used in the past :). Have you had any experience with Bimmers Clinic in Reseda? I used to bring my E36 328is to them years ago. I know of Bimmers Clinic and they can be even more expensive for an "independent" shop. Neve...

Re: BMW shop recommendation for pre-purchase inspection

Believe it or not, Car Max is a great place for vehicle inspections. They have a comprehensive set of tests and the inspection is free. No offense Kurt but I would NEVER take my car to a Car Max to inspect a foreign car, especially a BMW with all intricate electronic components that the newer ones ...

Re: BMW shop recommendation for pre-purchase inspection

I am thinking of buying a 2008 BMW 135i with 61,000 miles. Could you recommend me a BMW shop around West LA or San Fernando Valley, where I can have the vehicle inspected? The more comprehensive the inspection, the better. Some things on my mind are the condition of the turbos, clutch wear and poss...

Also this is the Southern States Championship round which has ProSolo type of events even though it's a tour so I'm a bit confused. Anyway here they are. Re: Canadian GP

F****** FOX network!!! Remember you have to have 2 season pass managers for Formula 1 (Speed, and Fox). Why? Because for 5 races during the summer ONLY the actual race is on Fox, the practice and qualifying are still on Speed. So I did that. The problem is that I didn't set that pass for adding an e...

Re: SCCA Lincoln ProSolo - Results

For me it's course dependent, in sweepers I can balance the car better, and get on the gas a bit earlier before releasing the brake 100%. Very true as well. Btw left foot braking doesn't always mean pushing both Pedals at the same time you just don't have the delay between switching pedals. DING DI...

If you look at the list in the first post, at the bottom it shows the last time edited (today at 9:31am, edited 11 times). That's generally what's done rather than reposting in the body of a thread. Easier to find that way.
