Re: SCNAX CUP 2015!

We have. With Stock moving to Street, as well as the depth of the SK classes previously, we have had limited usage. But the rule has survived, even if not in Jon's post above.

Re: New to Autocross and Racing

The rule book currently only lists up to 2015 Corvettes (Craig might be referencing a more recent fastrack update, which I didn't go through) 'MY16 Corvette added via Fastrack update. Note to Tom, Rule books come out once per year. Updates to the rules for a myriad of reasons are shared with the me...

1969 chevelle full autocross set up, LS3 swap? under muscle car or street touring? Your engine swap eliminates Street & Street Touring, and Street Prepared, and Prepared classes "full autocross setup" is to vague... need more details. I've provided links to each of the classes specifi...

Re: CA senate bill 350 - bad for car people?

While no good can come from the Bill... The Oil companies behind the "anti" campaign's claims are entirely envisioned. I've read the bill, none of their claims are actually in the Bill. That said... the commission is given close to carte blanche. As such the claim could become reality if t...

Re: Post Car Classing Help Questions Here!

I'm not sure what you mean by the "huge favor", but I did hear that Subaru is not interested in continuing the model. I believe Max is referring to Toyota making the springs a port installed option, which makes them eligible for Street (or something of that nature). I'm guessing by the co...

A few elements I've never seen locally (or at least in a very long time) A full 360 skid pad circle cross over - ala McKamey Ax school - course 1. Don't know if Evo still uses the same course designs. 5-6 cone slalom on a curve 6-8 cone "V" shaped slalom out & back in. Top of V does no...

2015 Solo Nationals

Interesting email today Street and Street Touring classes have blossomed under the new program. Drivers already entered in Street classes, which includes Super Street R, are 419 strong, up from 351 from 2014. The story is similar in the Street Touring® Category, which boasts 272 participants, an inc...

Re: Practice Run Group Poll

I haven't done practices in a long time... and rarely when I did. It's probably been 10+ years since any club in the region offered such... But I personally liked 1/2 day's. Work/run morning or afternoon. Sure Reg and Tech have to be open twice. They usually consisted of 8-10 runs rather than 12, bu...

Re: Regular/Time only/X runs

It's not rocket science We currently run, then work. Doing this we wait for people to put their cars away to get on course... before we can send cars from the next group out. If we worked, then ran... Workers are headed out the moment... or before the prior group finishes. With workers on course, ca...

Re: Regular/Time only/X runs

When we were at 300+ entries, we were running many, many, more runs per day than we are now. Our biggest issue is worker turn over. At the June event both morning worker tun overs exceed 30 minutes. That was a lost hour (actually it was closer to 1.25hrs) of runs. At a leisurely 1 car ever 30 sec, t...

Make sure you disassemble to sort everything. One tiny piece of steel connected to your aluminum, brass, etc... & you'll only get scrap steel for it all. I jut recycled my all aluminum head, with the steel bolts for the intake & exhaust imbedded... I got a whopping $5.40 for it's 110 lbs. At...

Re: Strut camber bolts in Steet Tire classes

I don't know if things are different for Street vs. the old Stock. The Integra had crash bolts in a TSB... but the TSB specifically addressed fixing after an accident that involved a particular part. When I contacted Doug Gill, I was told you had to meet the requirements of the TSB applying to use t...
