Okay Tom, now the really bad news: archeologists have recovered honey from Egyptian tombs. It was still good...

Methinks you'd best tackle the project whenever you'd like a functioning hood.

Re: Are there any Los Angeles area events?

Any lot less than about 600' x 1,000' is just too small. We have safety requirements that likely keep us at least 75' from each edge, and we need enough space for the pits, tech, registration, timing and scoring and grid to handle all the entrants. As a reference, the lot we use at Cal Speedway is a...

Re: Fastrack

Impound teardown's aren't fun... But trust me. If I win, I'll be wrenching with a smile on. I remember the drag teardowns late into the evening on Sunday's after the race, with a long haul home facing you. If you were the runner-up and tagged to teardown too, it sucked. If you were the winner it wa...

Re: Fastrack

Well, actually, we do. It's called X-Runs and fun runs. But I'd still argue that in both cases it can be considered instructional. Sure, but I think the key there is it's instructional and neither the driver nor passenger is allowed to do this until they complete their official class runs... assumi...

Re: Hey, I designed my first AX course today!

I drove the course as an instructor and spent a couple hours instructing students. That was a fun course! There were a couple really technical turns that, if you drove the corner before them properly, led onto rippin' fast sections. If you overcooked the corner before them, you were crawling. Guess ...

Robert forgot to mention that it's always garaged. At least I always see it in the garage when I'm over his house. Very clean car. I'm surprised Simanyi hasn't bought it already since he's only got 2 or 3 Bimmers laying around. Just one black (shoe), one white (Miata-stompin' shopping cart.) (Hi Bi...

Re: Trailering your car...

If you're on a tight budget, listen to the advice on Carson trailers or find a used one (even less expensive). If you have a little room, get a Featherlight from their Chino Hills distributor. Aluminum trailers are great not only due to their low weight, but also because they tend to look good for y...

Re: Cool new forum - avatar on left?

I like them over on the right, they're out of the way. I wish we could move Sigs over there, too. I only need to read someone's sig so many times before it's just visual noise. Almost 50% of the message space on the page is sigs/blank. Which is exactly why I disabled sigs and avatars in my configur...

Re: Cal Club Divisional in July

Jayson and / or Rick, Since this will be both a Divisional and count toward local points, do we have provision for people running in their proper National class, yet gaining points for the local class in which they're competing? I'd like Max to be able to run STU in the Divisional and still earn poi...

Seb, We - the E-board - asked you to revise the rungroups. Don't throw yourself into that line of fire! Besides, we can always adapt pretty easily. Even under the "old" setup, with lower participation we probably would've been facing the same problem. It's just something the Event Chair sh...
