The BMW looks exceptionally good considering the Camry pushed you hard enough to push all the others.

OK, finally found a site with the LA measures..... Passed Measure R and U???? What's with the people in LA County! In San Diego most School props take several revisions before they can pass. Can't recall any non school tax measures passing. edit - (there was one year a tourist tax passed, but again ...

Re: Proud to be a racist too....

I'm not sure which attempt that was, but a change would require an amendment to the U.S. Constitution. To abolish the EC yes, to change how a states EC is allocated, no. Personally I would like to see the EC go away, I'm realistic, in my lifetime that will never happen. But states decide how there ...

Yeah, $10 to have someone check an ID or tell me that my single item with less than 3 oz. of liquid has to be tossed because it's not in a plastic bag. Personally I haven't found this to be that big of a deal in some 25ish round trips this year alone. Just to be a PITA (I have them in a plas...

I know WHY it was created, but in this day and age, shouldn't the electoral votes at least SOMEWHAT reflect the popular vote numbers? They could... and we attempted a few years back here in CA. If we could devise some sort of shaired appropriation of votes vs. winner gets all. I'd even go along wit...

Re: Proud to be a racist too....

Kinda interesting comparing the above site reporting as counted, vs. NBC Predictions, and how different they are. As of 6:59pm NBC reports Obama 200 McCain 124, the web site I found above is reporting Obama 149 McCain 159. I realize the "as counted" can be skewed heavy in the early reports...

I know there's lots of sources to track the elections on, but this one seams to be updated constantly, and very easy to read, it not only shows this years stats but also how each state went since '92. http://www.electoral-vote.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; No idea wha...

What I want out of government are a solid infrastructure, the best education system support that doesn't punish public in favor of private OR vice-versa; a public health-care system that doesn't force un-insured and under-insured into emergency rooms for what those of us with private insurance visi...

Like the mod, bet it gets strange looks on the street.

if your current camera mount is your only option, may I suggest setting the iris on the camera to the outside light vs inside the car for a better picture.

National..... Hertz is the only one I know who has a guarantee, but only on the "premium" cars. Did you know they have Miatas at the LAX location? I have on occasion secured a specific vehicle from Enterprise, but every time it was the day before, and the car was sitting in the parking lot...

Re: Santa Anita Race trak

Apparently we have some misconceptions.... The primary front lot BMW and other companies hold their demo drives on is probably twice the size of Lot 12, so not sure where "small" comes from. Securing the space isn't that difficult, it has fencing on all the exterior edges (Huntington Blvd,...

Heard a radio news story about the incident this afternoon. (according to them) the man saw the cubs, the mother was asleep a few feet away. He thought he could pet the cubs without waking the mother. Apparently the mother wasn't asleep and was able to swipe at him without even getting up. After doi...

Ash, As boys the majority of us didn't need scary dreams, we lived (gave) them to our parents. I was blessed with too girls, no payback for my childhood mishaps. Instead I get the privilege of teenage girl hormones. Don't know which is the worse punishment for my childhood pranks / tribulations on m...

Re: Marshall is out of town

When I was about 3 my mom was holding my hand as I was walking on a log at a local park, there was a small gap between that one and the next one, maybe 9 inches. Story goes she told me to step down, and get back up on the next one. At 3, sure I could have stepped across, but whats the challenge in t...

Picture on the car or not. I think Steve's new nickname should be "cupcake". It kinda goes with the personality of the car, and the obvious enjoyment of food of the driver.

Re: Ekstrand loudly requests a date be fixed.

Using the estimate above of 20 traveling to Kansas, I would guess 18 of them show up to any given practice day. You now need to fill those spaces. Additionally they are the more likely ones to enter two consecutive days, as second day practices without a gimic of some sort typically fall off in part...

Interesting reading the different descriptions on the board, based upon where people were. I was in a bus going to SeaTac to fly home talking to my wife when it hit. I can't say that there aren't gravel lots at LVMS (haven't explored them all), but there are several very large paved lots.

From the I-15 freeway, those lots at LVMS sure look a lot like gravel....I'd have to double-check that, never been there myself.
