Re: Mini driver passes after WSIR incident.
You can't make racing perfectly safe, but it does certainly seem like an effort should be made to increase your odds of merely getting dirty in common off areas. Turn 9 is a COMMON off area.

Chris O'Donnell's DM Lotus Elan. Chris was visiting with Keisel Saturday, brought back all the memories of the greatest autocross car ever. The old days of Tom Berry thrashing the RX-3 or Grivas launching it on to two wheels. The Larsenmobile. Mark Huffman's Elan. And of course Keisel's Kermit. More...

I bought a DL-1 today. Don't tell Stacey. I think it will be a real key to taking Stacey to the next level to challenge for a National championship. And she'll need to keep improving because I think Shauna is really going to enjoy the Civie. Katie isn't going to know what hit her come September. And...

Re: It was a spun bearing on the #2 rod
Even if you pop the money for the new crank, you still have to pick the right one of seven thicknesses on the four individual rod journals. And same dilemia for the mains. Sounds like a job for a machine shop that has experience with very high end motors though few even super car makers are as anal ...

Re: Dude! Where's my recession?
If you're worried about Jobs, the weak dollar is your friend. Its inflation that is the drawback of a falling currency. If you want to protect wealth and target a low inflation number then you're screwing over job growth to do it. That's horribly Phillip's Curve simplistic. And there are lots of ver...

Seems like a good change to swap A around in the afternoon. I would suggest that you save some C group spots for your core morning setup people. I ran A like several CASOC's at our event and it was VERY difficult to setup and then unload our cars and get ready to run. If I had run C and had that fir...

Alan- Sort of combining what Annie and Steve are saying... If you really set up turns slow in and fast out you allow yourself the opportunity for much earlier throttle application. And in a laggy car you can develop a since of timing where you even throttle down earlier than you would in a normal ca...

The emery cloth method shouldn't remove material, just prep the surface polish.
We did it on pretty high strung drag motors facing Saturday night Ramada rebuilds...
But yeah, George isn't in a hurry and those kinds of Machine Shop services are not expensive.
