Re: found a tire gauge and infrared thermometer?

I saw them when I was packing up one of the grids....but it was still early in fun runs so I just put an extra cone down (so they wouldn't get run over) and left them. Hopefully someone put them in the motor home. FYI: Our lost and found is pretty much the entire passenger seat of the motor home. If...

Re: When do Juniors run on Sunday?

To be absolutely clear about today: Per my discussions with Steve and David yesterday, we'll be running karts after the cars. Roughly at lunch time....depending on when the cars finish. We'll give the kids some time to do a course walk and then run them right after. This will in essence create a ver...

Re: When do Juniors run on Sunday?

Hey David, Nothing is "cast in stone" at this point. I'm just trying to make sure we have a successful smooth running event. Again, with the new format, we probably didn't handle you kart families properly. But that being said, let's get this worked out. It's really not the clubs intention...

Re: When do Juniors run on Sunday?

Hey Steve, First of all, my apologies for not addressing this correctly in the event communications. Per our discussions last event: I thought we agreed that we didn't want to run the kids intermingled with the cars at all, so we would like to try and run the juniors before first car out. Specifical...

Looking for course setup help this Friday (Dec 1, 2017)

We're looking for 2 additional people to help with course setup this Friday in Fontana (updated: time 1:00PM). Tom Berry will be our course designer, so this would be a great chance to not only help the club out (and cover your Saturday work assignments) but also to pick Tom's brain for all the grea...

Re: Hello! Novice intro + tire pressure question

Hey Danielle (and Diego), I've been autocrossing my Vette for many years now. There's a couple of schools of thought on the topic...but generally most folks start with the fronts in the 32-34 lb. range and start with the backs like 2 lbs. lower. Then they'll typically adjust to fix car handling prob...

Re: Bolt EV co-driver position available for December

Hey Eric, Good news for you. SEB release the wrong fastrack initially yesterday, but just released the right one for December. The Chevy Bolt EV is officially classed in H Street! https://dk1xgl0d43mu1.cloudfront.net/user_files/scca/downloads/000/039/288/17-fastrack-December-Solo.pdf Bring the car t...

Hi David,

I see you're on the waitlist right now. But to directly answer your question, we typically have a school every year.

Hey Kurt,

Sorry...my "We'd be happy to have you" post was intended to be a formal invitation to instruct for us. I see you and Maddie are signed up now, so thanks for volunteering and we're looking forward to seeing you out there!

Hi Eric,

I checked with our SSS for the school and based on the Fasttrak approval, we're OK with you running your Bolt at the school.

See ya out there!

Re: Bolt EV co-driver position available for December

PS: I only see you signed up for Saturday practice day. There are no X-runs for the practice days. You'll typically get at least 12 runs (maybe a few more if we can squeeze them in for everybody). You won't have to give up any of your runs to get somebody to help you out. We a friendly bunch, and we...

Eric, I'll be more than happy to help you find some instruction for your first few events. I see you're signed up for our practice day this weekend. I'm the Event Master for the event, so I'll be "hosting" the driver's meeting in the morning before we start. We typically ask all the first ...

Re: Tire shop Orange County

I didn't know Action Automotive did tire mount/balance. Good to know for the future. I had them replace my leaky engine mounts once and was happy with the work they did. They also did some tricky electrical gremlin work on an old van conversion we used to have (other shops just balked at the van con...

Re: Tire shop Orange County

I've had good luck with America's Tire shops as well. Typically pretty friendly, and don't balk when I show up with tires that I didn't buy from them and just want them to mount/balance. I've used the store right off the 5 at Alicia (in the Target parking lot) many times.

Need a Kart worker for the Sept. 23, 2017 practice!

We're looking for one more person to work the Kart shift at the next practice. The work assignment is at 5:00 for one hour for the kids karts. The single shift covers your work assignment for the day. And our local kids seldom hit cones, so it's a pretty easy assignment.

For those planning on running vehicles with time travel capabilities: Apparently the rules have DeLoreans classed in ASP, so you'll have to chase down the Berry family. Good luck with that!
