Re: SAD, SAD NEWS

After she killed the engine, trying to figure out the clutch, spinning it out many times (everybody did that) you co...

Does anyone have, or have a source of vintage slalom or solo events (SCCSCC or Lone Pine) 1985 or older ? (videos)
I would appreciate it.
Also, wasn`t someone putting together slalom or solo archives ?
Just curious

Re: A nice honor for Gayle

I`ve been out of the loop for a long time.. Can someone tell me why Gayle is going in for surgery ? I noticed a walker in the picture (related?) I`ve known the Jardines for over 30yrs....I think I can say that the ONLY time Gayle got TTOD for women was in my car at Lone Pine. She was like a little k...

Re: Le Mans question

I thought of the train as well. My wife and I wanted to tour the region, so I was thinking of the car. We`re going with another couple so we can split the cost.
Did you get a good airfair? The taxes and fees are a killer. (I like the bucket idea.....not)

Le Mans question

Has anyone traveled to Le Mans from Paris ?
I`m planning on renting a car
Suggest a hotel ? Good source of a map and the track layout. I understand the the course is aways from the village.
Any other info would be great.

Re: Steve A or anyone who works on pool eq.

100% silicone is about the best sealant because it allows for expansion and contraction. As you said Hayward had a poor design, and California Pools bought into it. ( they used to use Sta-rite) The pump was made with a material called Noryl which is an ABS/PVC offshoot. The eventuallity is the thru ...

Re: Steve A or anyone who works on pool eq.

You didn`t mention what make of pump it was. It makes a difference. Many times the leak is a shaft seal. It`s the seal behind the impellor. There are many different ones ( PS 100, 200 201,1000. etc depending on the pump ). They leak due to running the pump dry for an extended period of time, or the ...

Re: Kitty Litter vs Oil Dry

Try Diatomatious Earth (D.E.)
Get it at a local swimming pool supply or Home Depot.
40yrs ago I showed this to a friend of mine, He repackaged it as an Oil Dry product, and is now a millionare.
In case your wondering, Diatomites are prehistoric fish fossils.
It should run about $7.00 for a 10lb. bag.
