Re: Video from nice course in San diego 3/8

The course flowed very well, this is probably one of the best courses I've driven at SD in a while. On a side note: Nicoles first run blew the sound meter with a 98.XDB Thankfully Seb and Shauna let us codrive with them, thanks guys! A lot of people were over on sound that normally aren't. Avatar made me laugh too, but I'm not sure about the lemming comment...Are you a lemming if you use Bridgestone, Toyo, or whatever is the fastest? You're a lemming if you run an EF Civic in ST :) Oooh busted! Acutally Sebastian, Jason meant to post this http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/324...

Re: Spring Install (Gap) Question

Here is the front gap at our desired ride heights of 12.75" ... at full droop. I don't believe we ever typically get to full droop in the front, especially now with the short stiffer springs, car lowered. Should be OK. I'm assuming that the spring sits on the upper spring perch flat? You shoul...

Re: Spring Install (Gap) Question

Mako, is that already adjusted for a certain ride height? If not, the gap will change depending on how low or high you want it. I would think that the spring would come up a little more since you will be losing 3" of travel off the bat.

Re: FS: New Falken Hanabi's 15x7

my Hanabi's weighed like 9.8lbs. Considerably lighter than the 11+lbs advertised. yeah but Jeff's came out to a whopping 12.2lbs  must be a bad batch... LOL Just curious what kind of scale you're using. Jeff's could weigh less if the scale is incorrect which is common. http://www.msprotege.c...

Re: New Shocks

Now that Guy is gone from ProParts, where's a good (e.g. trustworthy/good quality) LA-area place to go for new shocks? I have a friend who drives a 93 Camaro that's got completely dead dampers. I don't think it's worth rebuilding the existing them as they're POSes. Anyone got a guy? Preferably clos...

Honestly the most common problem is the bushings at the top hat. If you tighten them down to the point where it wont let the shock move in an arc, that could cause binding issues.

Re: LSD? To Have Or Not To Have

Looks like we have a seized shock. Pulling it now to take over to Guy Wait! If you replaced suspension bushings/monoballs around the same time you replaced the shocks, check them first. There's a lot of anti-dive in the back of the Miata suspension and those could be causing your bind. Bingo, the s...
