Re: 2009 Lone Pine Time Trials
I must be missing something here. The Solo Trials Rules require at a minimum an Appendix C roll bar for preps and mods. Okay. But if you run a bar in stock it MUST have a diagonal brace. But note that Appendix C does not require that brace. (App C, D.3) So a stock classer choosing to run a rollbar m...

Re: 2009 Lone Pine Time Trials
Actually I was asking about any other rules differences. I have a passing acquaintance with LPTT but for my first 20 years it was an autocross.
And as for faster...in the late 70's or so, I was cop-radared there at 115 mph in a 455HO TransAm. Not so much anymore.

Re: 2009 Lone Pine Time Trials
Not sure if you are aware but Solo Trial events require that all convertibles must have an SCCA legal roll bar. Not sure if all versions of the flyer had this updated, it originally said required for prep/mod cars and if other cars had them they must be SCCA legal. You mean like the link in your in...

Here's a video of Jason Isley's Sentra at Johnson Valley on one of Jayson Woodruff's long and winding courses.

Re: RallyX @ Knott's Soak City in Chula Vista
Sorry for the late response...didn't know this thread was here. Yes, I'm putting on a rallycross at Soggy Lake in Johnson Valley OHVA this Saturday. You guys would love it...this surface is much more like an autocross experience. And I'm putting on a ProSolo style course. I.e. two mirror image cours...

Overnite parking near El Toro?
Coming down the night before Sunday's AX @ El Toro, I need a place to overnite the camper. My route is south on I-15 thru Norco and Corona and then down 91 to El Toro. I'm not aware of any truckstops, Camping Worlds or such along the route. WalMarts have prettymuch shut down overnites. Any ideas fro...

Too many racecars. So I'm putting my 73 Lotus Europa on the block. Six past national championships in DMod and AP. Currently turn-key for XP or remove ballast for DMod. (Okay, so there's not actually a key)

Re: Repo alum car haulers - where?
Bob, I hauled my Z06 on a Carson full deck trailer. To be able to open the doors, all I had to do was position a 12" square of 3/4 plywood under each tire. I marked where they sat and screwed a 2x2 to the leading edge of the front pads for a parking stop. But I never had to attach them and had ...

Re: Car skipping around turns
Just to throw out another random possibility. Slow turns imply higher steering angle. I think Spits had poor ackerman to begin with and messing with it may have made it worse. If your two front tires are pointing different directions in a slow corner, perhaps they fight each other until someone &quo...

Re: Ok, I'll be the one who ask's; What is Pay-pal?
Useful thread. I didn't realize I had the PayPal payment option. So when you change to pay by CC, is that a one-time deal, or do you have to do it on an each-purchase basis? It appears I was able to select CC pay without any of the misleading dialogs etc, but I guess I don't know yet if it's a perma...
