Re: FasTrack News (Solo) - October 2010

Why eliminate spoilers? What am I missing in this concept if wings are allowed? Comment: This removes the original allowance for aftermarket body kits, spoilers and other appearance items, whose original purpose (i.e. attract Sport Compact enthusiasts) is no longer relevant, and which a number of c...

How did the two surfaces compare on your DL1? It would be interesting to see how street tires are affected.

Re: Lincoln Surface Report Please

At the ProFinale, I felt lower grip in the afternoon heat Saturday compared to Saturday and Sunday morning. It was pretty mild temps. I was using that Sat PM heat to heat cycle fresh tires for Thurs/Fri so I dismissed it as virgin tires. But, then talking to others and looking at times and the that...

Re: Lincoln Surface Report Please

However, Marshall, you drove in the same heats (3rd - Thurs/Fri.) as us.......various states of wetness and coolish. If we had sunshine, dry conditions and heat I'm sure the grip would have been greater. The pace was off by a few seconds for ASP/BSP due to the weather. Reijo Marshall and Dad drove ...

This is for the people that have data from the Pro Finale and Nationals... Did Lincoln have more grip than El Toro, Cal speedway on a good day? Just curious.

Re: 8-15-10 Champ Videos/Photos

Speaking of fun runs. Totally enjoyed them and was able to chop .7 seconds from competition times, on HOT tires that corded no less. I impressed myself with a clean 54.6.(good for about 10th in overall PAX!) I gave the course workers a good show with some nice flick, slide and mash it corner entrie...

Awesome shot Doug! Car looks mean  Thanks! Bob took a great shot. It looks as mean as a small yellow smiley-face car can be. :) Note the new headlights (replaced a week ago). Now back to Spec civics in STX. Stop it! No need to be defensive, this is not about the awesome ladies, it's about the cars.
Would it make you feel better if we bought 15x9's and ran them in STX?

Re: 8-15-10 Champ Videos/Photos

This BS again? We already lost Matt and Angie from the class and possibly the region this year. I don't know or care what the motivation is, what I do know is that the effect blows. Exactly, can't all the girls get a 'good job' for driving well and taking top 3 in STX? They are all good drivers, re...

If all of Mihai's runs were clean, there was obviously something going on with him, although he didn't seem ill? It can't be "that simple" that ST cars can beat a National STX contender like Mihai and conversely perhaps you ... otherwise we'd see more of that type of Civic disorderly cond...

Just curious Tom, did you move any cones out of the box after the finish? I saw the course worker running and fixing cones but since I was at the big slalom, it was hard to see how far they were moved.

Re: While we wait for the flatbed ...

Probably going to Cormier tomorrow ... since we didn't hear back from "Mike" the mechanic on whether the experiment with cleaning the MAF sensor worked. There was a suspicion that the (new) K&N air filter's oil had fouled that sensor. None of the other recommended garages have gotten ...
