Ladies and Gents,
I corrected the list for some errors and responded via e-mail to the PMs. I will be providing a list of alternates by tomorrow evening and the work group assignments no later than Thursday evening.

Just got home...
I just got home from the dealer, having the truck oil and filter changed and the tires rotated and balanced before heading off for Topeka. I walked up to a salesman while I was waiting and found out he's one of our own - Barry Blackstone (has a C4 Corvette he's playing around with.) I was looking in...

Re: Flyers are up - September 13th/14th Practice Championship
Everyone please note - I have removed the Cash Only requirement for this event. Checks are back in fashion... (though anyone will tell ya, Cash is King.)
And I'll point out again that we're shooting for 4 runs per entry. Buy a set of X-runs, and you'll get 8!

My mistake Cam. I think I hear the shredder warming up...
Just kidding. When you aren't driving, I encourage grabbing rides with other drivers. You're going to be working your way up a steep learning curve.

This is the list of FSAE Volunteers I have enrolled in the practice so far. If you expect to see your name on the list and do not, please e-mail me at mikes at newportacceptance d0t com. It is important that I have this correct before I publish the list tonight of non-FSAE members who will be in the...

I'd like to start a list of the members who will be out of town during the September event for Nationals (either Pro and/or Solo) and will need their average. Please add a post with your names if you're not already on this list (from Christine's post): George Schilling (AS) T/W Ron Tsumura (AS) T/W ...

Re: 2008 Solo National Championship, Sept 16-19
A double practice might be all it takes for Mike. :) But really does it matter??? Scotty Fraser is going to do the smack down dance on Aro, Simanyi and Schenker... Though I do fear Mr. Tim the Finn. But Schenker would be a MORE than deserving Champ (just don't tell him I said that) and I'd do hands...

As Steve Ekstrand requested, I'm posting this notice to call your attention to the September 13th practice and the instructions in the Practice event flyer. Practice Entry List ... friend needs to make plans Mako, As detailed in the event flyer, the initial list will be published the evening of September 4th. This is specifically to allow the FSAE volunteers time to sign up for the event so us non-FSAE volunteers don't occupy their spot. Stay tuned... ...

I think that may actually be a decent STX car with the new 265 / 9" wheel allowance.Steve Ekstrand wrote:Been there done that with my old 85 LX 5.0 Sport
One of the best cars I ever owned. Loved it much more than our 94 Z28 6sp that replaced it.
How well do those cars respond to ST allowances?

Good think you just finished packing up all your stuff from the apartment. Now there's no need to unpack!
Bill, ya gotta come back a couple times during the year so we have someone good to pick on. ;)

Please note the Championship flyer has been updated to reflect CASH ONLY for the event fees.
If we resolve our banking matters prior to the event that stipulation will be removed, but I want to ensure nobody is surprised by the requirement in case that isn't in the cards.

This seems like one of those subjects the ACLU would love to pick apart. It's essentially an additional "tax" on our lowest-income demographic, the people least able to protect themselves from politicians with an agenda. Anyone know a good lawyer with connections to a taxpayer's advocate g...

They allow Pink Unitards and Miata drivers, but they ban photobucket. I'm speechless. Worse: they allow Pink Unitards *on* Miata drivers... though I guess they have plausible deniability if they didn't run a thorough background check. What kinda crazy company would do that with someone who talks fu...

You want outdated? I programmed in MUMPS for the Mayo Clinic in the early 80's as a teenager. MUMPS at the Mayo Clinic? Is that some sort of joke? I haven't heard of MUMPS and my father and brother both were quite active in the languages for their respective jobs. Well, my brother still is. ;) Mike

Just confirming for everyone. The second roll-call vote was confusing as it was originally presented and clarified as we were starting the vote.
The final proposal was to make Sept 13th & 14th a Practice/Practice weekend. CASOC voted Yes and all the other votes were No.

Bill, I have a spare Odyssey battery sitting in the garage right now. I think we can have that sucker installed in about 15 minutes with zip ties and a few feet of wire... and keep it there just long enough to drive into grid and get a good laugh!

I know, the subject sounds like it should be in the Off Topic forum, but it's On Topic for our region. We are shopping insurance for the region's motorhome.
