Re: Underbody aero panel illegal in stock class? I assume that's a yes...
I wanted to buy this aero panel for my 2007 Miata: link . It's not like it's a wing or other big aero modification. Is it considered illegal in stock class? I'm running in CS. The general rule of thumb for SCCA classing is if the rulebook doesn't explicitly allow it ... it's illegal. That being sai...

Pro Solo Course Setup
Hey everybody, I'm looking for a few *experienced* helpers to do the Pro setup this Friday. We will be starting early (~8 am) and going until Howard and the SCCA crew is satisfied. If you'd like to help out please post below. I don't expect very many of you can come that early in the morning but if ...

Re: How a course takes shape
Well done Anthony. I assume you design for Sunday, then make adjustments to make it work for Saturday. Most of us will start with an idea for Sunday in mind and then will re-tool the start/finish sectors. If your design has good flow, then it should work well enough in reverse with simple visual ch...

Autoclub is basically all straights, just run in Advanced! That way you only have 7 people to let by ;)Shane Donahue wrote: ↑Tue Feb 19, 2019 12:42 pm I registered for Intermediate. Haven't run with TinA before, or Autoclub... so pointbys on straights seems like a reasonable balance currently.

Re: Minter Airfield with Fresno SCCA
I just got word that Fresno's chapter has secured their first official event at Minter Airfield on March 9th/10th. I know it's late breaking, but odd that I'm not seeing discussion of this on Fresno SCCA AX forum, nor has it made their schedule. Super special direct vice chair to vice chair acknowl...

Re: Minter Airfield with Fresno SCCA
Any ideas on cost? Ideal places to stay? Cost for the site or the event? Event wise I'm assuming in line with Fresno's typical prices which should be close to ours ($40 range?). Site wise, I'm not quite sure. We've had some discussions with SFR regarding the site price but I haven't heard what the ...

Minter Airfield with Fresno SCCA
Hey everyone, I just got word that Fresno's chapter has secured their first official event at Minter Airfield on March 9th/10th. Minter is a large concrete airstrip (similar to the now deceased El Toro) located in the Bakersfield area (it's just east of Buttonwillow on Lerdo Highway for reference). ...

Re: Planning ahead: got an HS seat available for the Fontana Pro?
Stephen,
I have a 2016 Fiesta ST with Koni's, Mountune Catback exhaust and the proper 16x7 wheels. The only thing it is missing is tires.
I wasn't planning on competing in it but I will be driving it to the event (I'm likely running SSC). Shoot me a message if you'd like to know more.

Hi Jon, First step is to check your car's classing here https://www.scca.com/pages/solo-cars-and-rules . As a fellow NG employee I'm sure you can hunt through the manual and figure out what mods are/aren't allowed. In general though, for new people I would recommend slapping a nice tire on a second ...

2009 Honda Civic Si: N/A, Coilovers, CAI, Tuned, K-Tuned Race Header, Straight Pipe. Your straight pipe bumps you from Street Touring into Street Prepared (aka Hoosier-land). If you replaced it with a high-flow cat then you'd be in STX as long as you meet the wheel width/tire size requirements. Che...

Re: Proposed CST pax modifier adjustment
At the end of the day, CST exists in its own little bubble in our region as do many other "catch-all" classes throughout the country. The class is, as stated above, designed to allow the large number of cars in the real world that don't fit the Solo rule sets to run together. We have a ver...
