Re: Qualcomm Stadium to close: Dec 31st 2018

Not recently, that I'm aware of. They've had a similar attitude our region has vs. El Toro... All other sites are smaller, and therefor inferior, so their not good enough to consider as alternatives. For example, Norton was good enough for LA region nearly a decade... Then we got access to El Toro. ...

Am I correct in classifying my car as a street touring sport (STS) and since I am a novice it would be NOV STS ? Thank you, O Correct on both acct's. Car is STS, you may compete in either STS or Novice with an STS multiplier. Bump for Julian Yun's post above for his Audi. Can someone assist with th...

According to http://www.v8builds.com/ this event is on May 20th at ACS and features an "SCCA autocross" Anyone from Cal Club involved or know anything about it? Actually it says an "SCCA Autocross Course", not an "SCCA Autocross event"... semantics for sure, but the pr...

Use Form #1 above. Form #1 above has the CA notarial wording printed on the form. Our wonderful legislatures, passed a law stating the Notarial wording that must be used verbatim. SCCA is just protecting themselves, by including the wording, rather than change a notary use outdated text, and the doc...

Re: "entrants" and supplemental rules 7.9.1 question

I agree with George's interpretation. Even if they are SCCA members (annual or weekend membership), they should need to purchase a points card to be an official entrant and not a guest. If their a guest, and not an entrant, then they should be excluded from the results, and made ineligible to base ...

Re: "entrants" and supplemental rules 7.9.1 question

In our verbose rules... we apparently need a definition of a guest!

At the time the rules were written, non-SCCA members could play. IMHO, since all entrants are NOW SCCA members, we don't have guests anymore.

Re: "entrants" and supplemental rules 7.9.1 question

In the past, entrants were those in the class who crossed the start line at least once. No matter their club affiliation. If a 600 win's, your point for the class are based off of them for the event. If their not an entrant, we need to change that, so points are based off of the highest placing poin...
