Re: Notes on a timing slip - GRA event 10/12
If it helps your frame of reference any, I had on the Dunlop Direzza Z1 tires pre-Star Specs. So the Star Specs are supposedly a little better. Thanks again for the help. You're welcome. For the record, your Evo was MUCH easier for me to get a 55-second lap in than my Miata!

Re: Notes on a timing slip - GRA event 10/12
I think that was me... I remember saying something about you being ready to try out for the Long Beach drift event, you had some serious drift angles going on in the Miata, and It looked like fun! You weren't around for the fun runs after - it was even looser and I was still able to chop off a full...

Re: Notes on a timing slip - GRA event 10/12
Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs +1 on that. I love these Dunlops. I had no problem finding good grip yesterday. They held in the sweepers quite nicely. I only wish I had pushed them more. I left a lot of time out there always thinking they wouldn't hold when they did so with ease. Gotta get me a set o...

Re: Novice class changes for 2009
OTOH, having a default class to send new people to where they are not going to get eaten alive could really boost retention. I like the idea that this would be a year-long class instead of the way it currently is where you trophy and you're booted out. I think there are quite a few novices who woul...

Re: Novice class changes for 2009
A couple suggestions: 1. Distribute novices as evenly as possible into the last run group before lunch and the two run groups after lunch, working as appropriate. This minimizes the likelihood of 40 novices distressing our schedule. Mike You do that and you might as well stay with the way it is and...

Need to resecure my Miata's spare tire
While trying to remove my spare tire on Saturday, the bolt securing it seized up. While trying to loosen it up, we broke the weld holding the nut to the bracket in the trunk, which meant the bolt was now spinning freely. Later, while trying to remove it, we broke the bolt that was securing the spare...

Re: PHOTOS, Sept. CSCC Race
I felt I was killing too much speed by trying to stay inside after the downhill corner on my first two runs, so I decided to just carry my speed out to the wall to cut the course shorter through that section - doing that turned the corner into the slalom into an early apex for me, so I was on the th...

Re: PHOTOS, Sept. CSCC Race
When I compared it to video of my previous two slower runs, taking that corner wide was a couple of tenths faster - plus, I was faster through the slalom as well.Mako Koiwai wrote:A lot of people over drove the last corner. Looks like you went unnecessarily wide into the corner before the slalom.

The date on the minor form your dad signed would have to simply say "2008" for you to keep participating for the rest of the year. This form also needs your mom's signature as well, though, unless your dad is your legal 'sole guardian.' Here's the link to the form: http://www.scca.org/docu...
