Re: Extreme street, should it replace CST?

Thank you everyone so far, for the feedback both in person and here. Please encourage your fellow CST people to comment for or against. Typically people just post to complain, but I haven't heard of any opposition as of yet.

Re: Historic 1 Proposed Rules change.

This seems to have gotten way too complicated for a local class. Looks like Doug's #5 option makes the most sense to me. Keep HIST1 & 2 as is with the addition of cars in Brian's post. If someone want's to run a non-SCCA classed car, use CST or CSM (actually has always been available on MSR, th...

Re: Historic 1 Proposed Rules change.

I'm not going to quote but two things. 1) the most prepped hcs is not Brian's but a former BSP Nissan Z, with an even more modified motor. Idk, easily 10 seconds faster than anything that races with us. 2) street legal does not mean smog legal... look at cam and other classes. Even the proposed xb/x...

Re: Historic 1 Proposed Rules change.

I wont quote what's listed above regarding carbs n stuff. But its completely open in SP.... do what ever you want to your intake up to the head. From SP 15 engine "Induction allowances are as follows: 1. Carburetors, fuel injection, and intake manifolds are unrestricted subject to Section 15.10...

Re: 2/8/20 SCCA Video

I prefer the video on the side even if it's 'lopsided' because you get a true picture of how close you are to the cones. The in car view is misleading - it's hard to tell if you are actually close to key apex cones. The line has limited benefit if you are missing your marks. Stephen, I understand y...

Re: Extreme street, should it replace CST?

A survey will be sent out to CST competitors first. It seems like it comes down to two questions. 1) Do you want XA XB to replace CST? 2) Do you want them combined on index or separate? Also, does anyone know of any cars prepared in excess of those rules that currently competes in CST? Supps changes...

Here is mine 67.553, with an 8 tenths mistake entering the last slalom. Also, way too far off too many inside cones.

Hi all! Newbie checking in~ I'm looking for cheap fun way to do with my car, so I thought I'd give autox a try. Welcome! I'm looking to register for the event on Feb.8 (Sun). Some questions I have: - What Class? 99 miata. Aluminum radiator & intake by previous owner. Anything else I think it's ...

Re: Historic 1 Proposed Rules change.

So the other thing worth noting is that in the HCS rules that also include cars like Doug T's since it started manufacture in 1974. I noticed he was competing in HIST1 but not on your list. Is that by design?

Re: Historic 1 Proposed Rules change.

Attached, a link to the HCS rules that Brian referenced. http://www.odr-scca.org/content/view/74/1/ Given that we have both Historic 1 and 2 on the books, we could have all cars that are "1975 and newer, as well as all cars, early and later, with displacement greater than 2650cc" run in H...

Re: Historic 1 Proposed Rules change.

Sorry Brian, Someone could easily take advantage of those rules to dominate historic class. This has been done in regions on the East Coast. I will not withdraw what is essentially a proposal of HCS wording. The other option I see is no HCS, since there are no advisory committees to write to and no ...

Re: Historic 1 Proposed Rules change.

Brian and Anthony, This looks like a great start. Thank you - The posted attachment makes no mention of tread ware for the tires, will we using those listed as 200 or harder? For HCS yes, ill add it. I would request that we remove "no material is added or removed". They are welcome to go ...

Re: Historic 1 Proposed Rules change.

These are the rules of HCS as modified by the following clubs. Based on my research, I would propose these rules for HCS for within HIST 1. Heritage Classic Class Rules As developed by Tidewater Sports Car Club, Old Dominion Region SCCA, and Virginia Motorsport Club (Differences from SCCA Heritage C...

Brian Howlett would like to see these changes in the supps for Historic 1. All cars of 1974 vintage or older, the followin...

Re: Nationals run days question

Having seen all the uproar and the retraction, in retrospect I have a few thoughts: Consider running FJ on Monday. It's a perennial problem, weaving them in with Open classes on Tu/Wed, Th/Fr. The logistics on it are a real nightmare. Putting them on Monday we can easily guarantee their safety with...

Re: Xtream Street (XS) Looks like....

The SCCA has a new sand box. Looks like the players have to bring cars that "Must be licensed and Insured". Oh, and "legal to drive on the roads". That means what in our reigon? Ok, I pasted the rules on my first post. The whole quote is "Must be an automobile or truck (e.g...
