Re: Clever ideas for CST?

Would a fox body with some fat tires and stiff springs fit the formula? I don't know too much about them, but I know they're light (for a mustang), cheap, and can make power with the right engine. The fat tires might drive up the price a bit though. How's the suspension on these things for handling?...

Re: CSCC 11/2 - 11/3 Photo and Video Thread

I loved those slippery corners. They make you have to rethink what line really works best for each corner. Going up the hill in the slalom (or wall-om), the last right turn in front of the last "wall" was really tricky. Saw a lot of people spin there, and almost lost it myself at one point...

Carfox

Hi all, wanted to help out any fellow autocrossers in need of one of these. I got the unlimited package since I was shopping for a car, but just found one. I think it's 30 days with unlimited reports, so if anyone needs one any time within the next 25 days or so, send me a message with the vin and I...

Re: PAX run group

Thanks for the replies everyone! Seems like the easiest thing to do is run in the PAX group under the RTRCS index. I'm not very competitive at all, so I won't even worry about trying to get my results in RTR. I'd probably be pretty close to the bottom anyway. See you guys on the 3rd! 8-) I'm not su...

PAX run group

Hi all, I'm about to sign up for the Nov. 3rd event. My usual run group (RTR) runs in the afternoon, but due to a prior commitment, I can only attend if I'm finished by the end of the morning run groups. My question is: is the PAX group is usually reserved for the top drivers, or can anyone who cann...

Re: Looking to be schooled on NA Miata

Ya the factory Bilsteins are pretty good. If you find a blown set, you can easily get them rebuilt and revalved if you want. If you want to run the NB Bilsteins, I think you need the NB tophats too.

Re: Stock class legality of replacment convertable top

I can't give you a definitive answer, but I would think as long as the top is of the same size, shape, weight, etc. it would be legal. I couldn't really see anybody protesting a replacement top, unless it were made of some kind of super-ultra-lightweight-lightspeed fabric.

Re: Why Get Your Start at Autocross Sunday?

But in thinking about, is doesn't make much sense that they can take an instructor along to help them go faster, yet not take a friend along for some fun or pointers. I will bring this up for discussion at the next meeting and see if others agree. Perhaps we can get this rule modified. I used to ru...

91 Civic Si *Not Mine*

Posting this for my coworker, who is trying to sell his Civic. He doesn't do much autocross anymore, and just got a newer BMW. The motor just had a full rebuild 2.5k miles ago, along with many other new parts, and would be great for STC. Details are in his thread here: http://hondamarketplace.com/sh...

I'm a bit surprised they moved the FR-S/BRZ to E-Street with the NB. I thought they were classed more appropriately with the NC and RX-8. ES is going to be a pretty fun field next year though!

Thanks for the great advice Leonard! I need to keep focusing on looking ahead. There were quite a few places where that definitely would have helped me out. Here are my runs 2-4, the memory card wasn't in all the way for my first run, but it was my slowest anyway. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MYF...

My Sunday just miraculously opened up. Looks like I have no choice but to be there. Going to be in STR this time around though, since my new wheels are wider than stock, and I don't have new tires for my stock wheels yet.

I may have a co driver interested in joining me next weekend. Is it possible to register a co driver after I've already been registered?

Thanks!

Just signed up for this. This will be my first autocross in the Miata, and also my first autocross in almost a year! I'm really stoked to be racing again.
