Re: MSM miata vs AP1 S2K -- opinions?
When I do compete I aim to win as many in SK1 will tell you, and although I won't have the money to really set the car up right off the bat I at least would like a good base to build from. I like the SK class mostly for the varied competition and cheeper running cost overall, so I'm glad to see the...

Re: Looking for CM car
Thanks, Jason. I left Jim a voicemail, we'll see what happens...I'd be all OVER that car. Doug, I still have Mr.Two. Actually found a set of DA Konis built by ProParts that I'll be installing (hopefully) this weekend. I'm also mounting up a set of Toyos on the stock rims, for daily driver use and g...

Re: MSM miata vs AP1 S2K -- opinions?
For those in the s2k camp, is the ap2 that much better for the class? Does the AP1 miss out or is it still pretty competitive? I have driven one at speed thanks to Ron Tsumura many years ago and fell in love with the car, but I'm not as familiar with it. Likewise reliability speaking does the car h...

You should try the AP2 also. It has wider 17" wheels. (Better tire selection than 16" AP1)
I got to drive a PCA competitive Porsche Boxster. You should try it out if you have the means..(says Buehler)

Re: Space Available: Camarillo AX Sept. 18th
We had a great time yesterday. The airport is such a beautiful venue with aircraft constantly zooming over our heads. Mike S. was TTOD for most of the day. I think Stephen Y. ended up with TTOD at 59.xx. Saw Dick Takashima's Formula Ford running pretty good at the event. The new owner sai...

I was hoping Tom T. would do a documentary on Autocross like the "On Any Sunday".
He could follow the life of K Mho and call it "Everybody Loves Ken".

Re: Stock Class Mods
However, I wouldn't recommend driving on the street with those tires, as they have no tread, which means you have to have a second set of wheels, and bring them to every event and change them out. Right. I think that might be too much of an investment since I plan to sell the car at the end of the ...

You should also consider installing revalved aftermarket shocks if your shocks need replacing and locate some lighter aftermarket wheels in the stock size and offset on the used market.

What I like about using 140+ tread wear rated tires instead of Rs is not having to buy special rain tires.

While your at it, tell them they put every freaking class with potential sound issues (other than XP) in the first two run groups. I'll be coming by to talk to a lot of folks when it's cloudy in the morning i'm guessing. -Chief of Sound You forgot F125. More noise = mo pa wa! I am not ignoring you....
