Re: Which Steering Wheel for XBox ?

Get the Microsoft Wheel. While not perfect, it's the only one you'll find with true force feedback. Microsoft has somehow banned any other manufacturer from offering a feedback wheel for the 360. Note that the Logitech wheel is "axial" feedback, ie rumble. Max, are you on Live? A bunch of ...

Re: FS: 2006 Mazda MX-5 CSP National Champion

Thanks Max! Here's a short article from Modified Magazine that just came out this week featuring the car. Mike Speck (ex Pro now Bondurant Instructor) drove the car for a few laps on one of their road courses and wrote up his opinions. I've only had it out on "track" two other times and fo...

Re: FS: 2006 Mazda MX-5 CSP National Champion

David, the tach in my car is very optimistic as well. You'd think it revs over 7k based on where the needle ends up. Ken, yeah I had read that about the '09s and to answer your question, no I don't think the earlier NC's have a forged crank. They're getting a forged crank, floating pistons, and upgr...

Re: FS: 2006 Mazda MX-5 CSP National Champion

Aaron, with the 285s it's close to the STI, at about 53-54 mph. Also like the STI it has a very usable 3rd though and it's typically not a problem having to shift. Keep in mind this is with the stock rev-limiter at 6800 rpm. I've talked with the guys at MER (MX-5 Cup champions) and they feel the mot...

Re: FS: 2006 Mazda MX-5 CSP National Champion

Being a non-cali car brought in does it matter? Last two Az cars I brought (mentioned already :-)) just required a federal parts inspection and a blow test. Would it even need to be smogged being a newer modle year? Jay W Again, I don't know what your guys smog requirements are, but thought even pa...

Re: FS: 2006 Mazda MX-5 CSP National Champion

Mako, I honestly have no clue what the CARB status is on most of the parts. The stock exhaust manifold went straight into a cat (was removed with the header installation), but even going from the 2 factory cats down to the one high flow, the car's running clean enough to keep the ECU perfectly happy...

Re: FS: 2006 Mazda MX-5 CSP National Champion

Regarding fitment, the smaller 320mm steering wheel goes a long way to create more knee/leg room for bigger drivers. The NC's also have tilt unlike the earlier cars. Throw in a low race seat and I'd expect nearly anybody to fit in the car. The car came in at 2370 on HPT's scales with a couple gallon...

SOLD 2006 Mazda MX-5 Sport 25k miles Galaxy gray, black cloth interior, 6spd This car has allowed me to recently complete a long-term goal of mine, winning a CSP National Championship. Re: Divisional Series

I'm speaking on behalf of everyone who ventured out from AZ to attend the recent SoCal divisional events....thank you! I know Jason's been wanting to do a series for some time now, and it was great to see this finally come to fruition. Thanks to all that organized and made it happen, I can guarantee...
