Re: First Job

I had 2 jobs at the same time, Kinney Shoes Stock Boy, and Liquor Store Stock Boy. I would go to Kinney first, stock the new shipments and fix the restock errors from the salesdicks, and then go over to the liquor store and work in the walk in beer fridge, I had to make sure the shelves were never ba...

Hell no. I tell everyone.
Well I guess it's good that Nationals is moving to a non-baby dolls area, and that Shauna and I still run on different days than you.

Re: Someone's gotta case of the Wednesdays

I had a meeting today with a woman trying to sell me marketing materials. I noticed that she wore a low cut top and for some reason had to keep bending over to get more examples of the materials she was trying to sell. I also noticed that she was at least an F-Cup (I don't really know cup sizes, wha...

Re: Who was your first AutoX instructor?

I think Bev was my first instructor. All I remember was going in waaaaay too hot for a really tight turn and not being able to figure out why the car wouldn't turn when I have the wheel fully cranked, and then having a huge spin in some offsets that I was waay late for. I was so embarrased  I ...

Good topic!

I like all the cars you mentioned here are a couple I didn't see yet.

Mike Maier's various Mustangs.
Jesus Villareal's Europa (any europa)
Guy Ankney's CP Camaro
Actually now that I think about it, pretty much any car at an Atwater AAX event ;)

Jason Rhoades' STS/SM 240sx

Re: Went to my first event and it was great

Perhaps it's make (or prep level?) dependent. I never noticed any issue with losing brake boost on my 1.8T VW. Sure seemed fastest to anticipate the throttle in and unwind as the turbo (and torque converter) spooled up. OTH, You guys been doing this longer than me so I'll defer to your wisdom. sc C...

Shauna found some paper blowing across the course when she was working. It is a hanwritten note that looks like some kind of riddle. I can't read it all but here's my best transcription job. Re: Went to my first event and it was great

IMO, you're more likely to screw up the brake boosting and actually slow down then you are to actually improve your time. Being out of the boost sucks, i know, but the best solution i think is to drive the best line you can to keep your mid corner speeds up and allow early throttle application(ie, ...
