Re: December Events Open for Registration - New Format for Sunday Championship

(fun runs are contingent upon a minimum of 10 people participating) I hope that's 10 per group, otherwise there would not be enough workers. I realize as "fun runs" we don't need as many, but 5 wouldn't cut it, 10 is half what we usually have as a minimum. These are fun runs, we can cover...

Re: December Events Open for Registration - New Format for Sunday Championship

A few questions: The FJ karts run when? First at the moment, but Steve Ekstrand had some other ideas that may work to better. I'll talk again with him this weekend. His other Idea was to put them in a separate grid just like we do now by the motorhome and have them run like nationals with time inbe...

Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation

If I'm not mistaken, for what it's worth, with effectively only 2 clubs that have real voting impact, only one club has to be present and vote and a motion will carry. Nobody else will have any input if the opportunity is missed. In a way, there is already an imbalance of power. It would seem that ...

What do you mean by penultimate? How does it differ from the December event?

We have not contracted with any venues yet.

As a club we are asking for dates already which is as early as the venues will allow. The schedule is still fluid, as is the national event schedule, but as soon as we have contracted dates we will post them.

Which theme for next years event weekends ?

I thought it might be fun to pick a theme for next years event weekends! Some that come to mind are;

80's movies
90's movies
Syfi references
Sports
Any decade
Monthly holidays
Weird single day holidays that fall on that day.

Just a thought, anyone have any fun ideas?

Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation

Just an idea for those that wanted to be continuously involved. There is nothing that would prevent a director from being an eboard member their off year. So if you reached a term limit as director you could still be secretary, treasurer, Vice President, President, communications, membership etc. Th...

Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation

So glancing through the bylaws -- I assume there are only five votes, unless I've missed something. Given that, all the various minimums seem pretty awkward. 50% for one thing, 80% for another, 2/3 for something else. Jeez, there's only five votes. Do those numbers really make sense now? On another...

Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation

I like the new proposal. It would be nice though if there was a way to keep the names of the clubs alive. Perhaps through renaming some of our year-end recognition awards or something similar? These would be the new by-laws for governance , the supps remain the same with the "club" awards.
