Re: First Job

First job that the IRS cared about ... Working at an Army PX (Post Exchange [store]) ... Men's Clothing Dept. I was horrible! I was suppose to sell suits. I had to take these army guys addresses down for their alteration. With my dyslexia I couldn't for the life of me get their weird organizational ...

I think JK felt it was a lot of work for him ... but of course it is ... taking care of three kids and their individual karts! Now that we've seen how to do it, I think it could be done faster and easier with more sharing. They used a pretty big portion of track. I think they could make a shorter tr...

I didn't realize where low riding pants came from, and what it meant (in prison). Makes sense that gang attire would come from where they spend a lot of time ... but I'm sure that if the kids who propagate that "inviting" look knew what it meant ... they wouldn't be stylin like that ... or...

Then there is the issue of more leverage putting more pressure on the bearings. 10 mm is probably OK though?

Doesn't widening the stance = lowering the car as far a geometry is concerned? ... Marshall!

Re: Increasing MPG with HHO ?

And here they talk about producing large amounts of HHO from miniscule amounts of electricity ... perhaps making HHO a viable "fuel/air addative."

btw. you don't have to work again when doing X Runs. Last time we also had Fun Runs. But that's never guaranteed, and requires working again. X runs are a sure thing.

Re: How to get good gas mileage.

Just tanked up. Really disappointed! This week I really dawdled along to work ... keeping it around 65 on the fwy, following trucks, coasting, often and early, easy acceleration. 19.4 mpg with my egg shaped Previa. Highest bill ever ... $77+ at ARCO ... but that's with 89 octane. Going to try the mi...

Re: Increasing MPG with HHO ?

HHO is not H20 ... water vapor into the intake doesn't work because it displaces oxygen. Water vapor/spray added after air is mixed with fuel helps by cooling the mixture and perhaps by adding to the "compression" once in the cylinder ... if I recall correctly. Water or Alcohol or a mixtur...

Re: How to get good gas mileage.

Note that synthetics in the tranny can mean harder downshifts, since the synchros need some friction. In fact you can buy friction plus tranny fluids to make easier shifting, ie. GM Synchromesh, Redline MT-90. You can run a percentage of those fluids in your gearbox.

Re: How to get good gas mileage.

A german study a few years ago said that the most fuel efficient method of driving was fairly brisk, 3/4 acceleration to speed, then coasting back down again. Not very practical. If you've ever had a car with an instant mileage gauge, you KNOW that acceleration is the big gulper of fuel, and that co...

Re: Increasing MPG with HHO ?

The electricity is already there ... the HHO would just supplement, like NOS but not for added power. Thinking back to the old HS Chemistry demo, I didn't think enough HHO could be produced to have a noticeable effect, but there have been "improvements" in the anode/cathodes along with mor...

Increasing MPG with HHO ?

What does our Scientific Advisory Board think of using our cars electrical energy to create HHO from water ... plumb it into the air intake system, for getting added MPG?

Lots of youTube clips on the subject ... like:
