Re: Perpetual Hotel for Event Thread (priceline, etc)

George: I had to read some of this thread as I always use Orbitz and just a get 2 * Star hotel for when I go down to SD for the BMWCCA events, but I stayed at the Marriott which is 2 miles away from the stadium. Great hotel but $130 a night. So I just tried PRICELINE. Bid $60...........and BINGO! Ad...

Re: SMOG the results

Congratulations! Your motor runs perfect, that's just how they are, not low on CO/HC but not too good on Nox, they tend to run lean. All numbers look good, the way they should be. Our 99 M3 with 59K smogged the same. Bob, Max is right. Even on my E46 M3 I smogged it and it passed (just shy of almost...

Re: Vintage Yamaha Race Kart/Go-Kart

Seriously?!? I think I got it right when I posted to Craigslist! I'm asking $1500.00 for the complete kit. No problem. But as an FYI, you can edit your original post and put in the price so potential buyers don't have to read further down the thread to see if you put in the price or e-mail/call you...

Formula 1 - 2011 Season Opener: CANCELLED

The needs of the many (people of Bahrain) outweigh the needs of the few (Bernie & Co.)

Re: How to prep car to pass smog?

Stock 95m3 is due & it should pass, but to get a little edge: Don't know if your car would pass smog but assuming all the stock emission parts are on the car and in working order, just drive the car hard (say some nice twisty canyons in San Diego) or hop on the freeway, for about half an hour. ...

Re: Pro Solo & National Tour

Their number system doesn't go as high as I would like, so instead of running 314, I will be running 14 (only have to ask my wife to make one replacement number) National Tours and ProSolo events use the 1-99 numbering system and you add 100 to that number for your co-driver. Thus 14 for you and if...

Re: Still time to sign up for SFR Divisional

I wasn't too involved, this year, and didn't even sign up until the day I put this post up here. I think we kind of fast tracked the process, as the big lot at GA became available at the last moment, and didn't have anyone on point to publicize the event outside the region. Result is we only have a...

Re: Still time to sign up for SFR Divisional

Looks like we've picked up a few more entries from Cal Club and SD. Thanks to all who are supporting this event and making the drive up. It should be good. Also, you have until midnight to register, so vote early, vote often...or something like that... Mike, as an FYI, if your region plans th...

Re: I'm new to SCCA and

Hello all, I raced autoX many years ago in the 70's and may get back into it. Back then it was just club events in the class we called C Sedan. Now I'm looking into it again and was going through the rules and trying to find out if there is a class for my 2000 Pontiac Grand Am. Can anyone point me ...

Re: Looking for a Boxster

Anyone think of someone who might be able to take a look at the car for me? The seller sounds very genuine and the car looks outstanding (if a little high on asking price...but, life's a negotiation lol), but I'd hate to fly down there, cash in hand, and find that it has problems! That's what Paul ...

I used Paul Kramer at Autokennel to do a search for me. For a fee he'll find whatever you want. I ended up with just what I wanted (no options except the M030). He did all the paperwork. Easiest car I ever bought. Might save you a lot of time and trouble. t +1 as Paul is not only Porsche guy but a ...

http://www.scca.com/documents/2011%20Tech/2011%20SCCA%20ProSolo%20Rules.pdf Looks like the R class split in to two classes R1 (Mod +XP) and R2 (all P except XP) will not change things much since R1 will bump to R2 instead of bumping to B2. Indexes are now based off PAX with no adjustment to launch ...

I see that I need to join SCCA, and to join SCCA, I need to join a local club. So, do I need to join the local club first, then the SCCA? What about doing a weekend only membership to SCCA? Do I need to join a local club first for that? I have no problem joining a local club, in fact I look forward...
