Re: 2018 Event Statistics
Rick, I see your point - and it's correct - but it's not in disagreement with Mike's point. His point was to emphasize to all drivers before their fun runs that if they've spun and ruined their run, they should be conscientious enough to proceed without taking out more cones. I have to agree with t...

Re: Tire Mounting Place
So all the tire places I've used in central OC have gone by the wayside. Any recommendations for the HB/Newport/CM area? Seems most of the tire places change management as often as a runner changes socks. And it's never for the better. Rim & Tire Center in Garden Grove would do my rotations for...

Re: 2018 Event Statistics
I'll add that course design has a lot to do with it, in addition to the other awareness issues already mentioned. This course was good in the sense that there seemed to be relatively few cone hits. The course was easy to "see" yet difficult to get "right". We could have accompli...

Awesome! Hopefully Buttonwillow falls on my birthday again!
Either way, I'm sure we can bring an even larger group of Solo guys out like we did last year. These events were a ton of fun and a great way to get some first time track experience.

Re: December Events Open for Registration - New Format for Sunday Championship
I agree Neelu, not all the positions may be needed. But this last weekend you were dealing with only a few cars and I believe all experienced drivers. In December it's likely there will be many more since we are pulling from the entire pool of entries and it will be earlier in the day. So instead o...

I think we all can agree that Matt knocked it out of the park with his course this weekend. You had some great ideas and put a lot of work in to getting everything setup.
We'll all miss you when you move up to NorCal!
P.S. Let us know when you start designing courses at Crow's!

It will be interesting to see fun runs... as the money collector stands there with a devise to swipe a card for each run. - Hopefully are card services acct is on a straight % bases, and not a % plus fee per transaction. - May also increase our % rates, as it will pull down the per transaction avg....

I don't know anyone under the age of 16 who doesn't have a debit card Craig. I don't see how this would be an issue at all.

Re: Children under 12 riding in a car at an event.
I think part of it comes from size. A child under the age of 12 is probably too small to be considered a safe passenger in the eyes of the SCCA or whoever penned this rule.
Just some food for thought.

Those are some good clarifications George. I can understand your concern about direct elections versus club representation going forward. I think my biggest gripe/concern is that only two clubs are doing all of the heavy lifting and I would like to see the other clubs increase their contributions in...

Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation
I guess I'll throw my hat into the ring on this debate finally. I see no reason why we should not pursue unifying the governing body of our region as opposed to keeping the responsibilities spread out through the clubs. When I joined SCNAX I did so because I believed the clubs were purely social asp...
