Re: How to avoid getting your racecar impounded
That article is spot on. But, the reason why it appears so, is because people don't put forth their rights. You can beat most traffic stuff if you are willing to fight. Most people just plead no-contest or other BS because that's how the court has been set up to make it seem easier on the defendant ...

Re: How to avoid getting your racecar impounded
That suspicion does not extend to under the hood nor anywhere else closed. If they have reason to believe that you are armed, then having you step out of the vehicle and frisking you is reasonable. Looking under your hood is not. Plain and simple. In the Terry case, they specifically said that it on...

Re: How to avoid getting your racecar impounded
The 4th amendment doesn't use the word warrant. If you are detained, as in a traffic stop LEO has the right to "secure the scene" and search you for weapons as well as areas within your immediate control and access. This has been extended to include closed areas where another person could...

Registration Question
On AXWARE ORM it states that 3 registrations per driver.
So can you run in more than one class, or does that mean that you can do 2 x-runs?

Re: Good 12 Volt Compressor ???
I think some of you may have seen my air setup at the track. I use a 27 cuft steel scuba cylinder and regulator set to 100psi. 100 psi is generally the lowest regs go, but works the best between torque and air efficiency. I use steel cause they are way more durable than aluminum cylinders. Good for ...

Re: STX 2WD Tire
I probably wounldn't have a chance in ST. There is way too much competition for my newbness. STX doesn't seem to have too many, and not many that are running consistently throughout the season. I could have easily won STX in the last event. Larger brakes all around removes me from the ST class. Rid...

Re: STX 2WD Tire
There have been a couple of nationally competitive EF's in STX and neither went with bigger tires than the EF's in STS (ST now). And this was before the 225-50-15 Toyo R1R came out. And the 15x8 from 949racing.com is a cheap fairly light option.... http://949racing.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD...

Re: STX 2WD Tire
I think an EG hatch would be most competitive in ST rather than STX, have you added an LSD, or is there some other mod that removes that classing option? If you are married to the STX class, I think a 15x8 with 225/45-15 Toyo R1R would be your best bet, I would be surprised if you could fit 255 or ...

EG Hatch
Think a 255 or 265 could squeeze on a 8 inch rim?
Steve,
Most of those tires only have wide widths in a 17 inch rim. I guess Kumho XS it is.
I want to stay with a 16 for weight. Lightweight 17's are not cheap and cheap 17's are not light.

STX 2WD Tire
Rules allow for up to a 265 wide tire and a 9 inch rim, but 140 rating.
Any good ones out there.
So either 13x8, 14x8, 15x8 or 16x8 rim. Less than 24in diameter preferably.
Thanks.

Re: NICE JOB PSCC!
Agree, x runs need to be spread around & most clubs are doing an ok to good job. :) Well, like I said, only if it happens quite often. Also, PAX seams to be a large group so they should only be group with a few others. Novice is a big group, but they are spread out which is fine. I don't think ...
