What happened to that other cool rally car you brought back there?

If we can't get this signed off in the next four weeks, we can move it to May. After May it'd have to be delayed until October/November due to summer heat. It doesn't get that hot out there :D I think Jayson Woodruff might be the guy to talk to based on what I think you want to do. http://www.jayco...

I was there yesterday, the layout reminds me of that crazy GRA course we ran years ago in the now drag strip lot. Pavement looks nice don't know if the tents are part of it too.Steve Ekstrand wrote:Unless you reach the curbs.....

Sort of, links with rod ends fore and aft. 3M window weld ( I know I know, no support aftermarket for a 6g Celica) on the left and right mount.Bobby Beyer wrote:Are you running solid motor/tranny mounts?

Re: Evans cooling
i agree. all 'real' racecars (F1, prototypes, ...even nascar) use a prepresurized sealed cooling system. something like this. http://www.crracing.com/tech/cooling-installation-details/using-pressurized-colling-system" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Great link. Those kind of...

Re: Evans cooling
i've never used it but just doing some research here are some things i come up with. CONS: -npg (propylene glycol) is more dense than water, 8.6lb/gal vs 8.3lb/gal @25c -it's got a lower thermal conductivity. 119 mw/m*k vs 607 mw/m*k -it's got a lower specific heat capacity. 2.51 J/g/k vs 4.2 J/g/k...

Re: Evans cooling
Is it a requirement that you run with no ethyl glycol coolant? The engine in your car was likely designed to a run a pressurized coolant system getting rid of the pressure cap doesn't seem like a good idea. also since its not running a pressurized cooling system its very likely you'll get some spil...

Evans cooling
Putting in a brand new engine and new cooling system in my car. I'm tempted to fill with this, I like the idea of running a non pressurized system. I know there's some smart people reading this that can give me some pro/cons to it (I'm not concerned about the cost). http://www.evanscooling.com/produ...

Re: Who has JRI shocks?
The great thing about Penskes ... our own Guy Ankeny. Had a leak, took it over to Guys, rebuilt it right then and there: $50  Guy is who will be doing the custom strut housings with JRi internals for me. It was actually his suggestion since Penske struts are out of my budget ($10-$12K). BT...

Well, the Penskes are tried and true, right? It's always a bit of a gamble trying something new or different but the JRi's are priced well and all the tech stuff I've read sounds promising. Here's the C5 package http://www.hancheyvehicletech.com/category/JRi.html" onclick="window.open(this...

I wouldn't worry about that Steve, times have changed and CR is encouraging spectators for this event. Unless it's a CSCCS2 policy....Steve Ekstrand wrote:Don't let Renee Angel catch you.... I fear Lightning bolts.
