Re: Post counts

Click on members to the top right.
Then click "POSTS" twice

That will show the post count race. I pretty confident I can crush Tom Berry in this competition.

Re: 2500 versus 3500 Trucks

How heavy is that removable 5th wheel hitch?

I've heard you can convert the tongue on the trailers from 5th wheel to goose pretty easily, but I would think 5th wheel is the superior setup in terms of strength. Don't really know much about it.

Re: Who was your first AutoX instructor?

June 2000 Tom McKeown Tom moved to FL I think. Cool guy with the Blue Meanie 240Z. Co-drove with Rock Brown. Scared the crap out of me on that first instructor lap. Somewhere in that first year I got an instructor lap by Tom Berry in the Dakota. I was certain we were going to die. I figured that rec...

Re: Mosley stays for now

I'm a freak too and Mosley kinda freaks me out. But I really don't care what people do. God bless ol' Max if he knows what he likes and gets to it. The point is he let his personal stuff tarnish the sport. And whether fair or not, the reaction to HIM is having profound effects on his organization wh...

Re: Q on 2000 season

I'm pretty sure that December 2000 was our first event at California Speedway. I was still running the Dakota with stock suspension and my friend Sam came out with his white modded Dakota R/T trying to convince me to slam the Big Purple Miata.

Re: 2500 versus 3500 Trucks

Thanks Earl I've had really bad experiences with Goodyear OEM's (though the SRT and vette guys seem to like their Goodyear Supercar tires). I hadn't thought of tire choice making a ride difference, but I'm normally looking at sporting tires. Makes sense. I do remember on my old '67 D200 with 1-ton D...

Re: Looking for a car to drive @ the Divisionals

Last month we held a Mopar track day at Willow Springs. One of our members from Virginia didn't have time to bring his car out this year, so he flew in and was able to rent a 300C with a HEMI from thrifty rental car. It was pretty cheap too. Car ran 1:44 at Willow on OEM all season tires. Not bad.

How about a Team Pajama reunion at Cal Speedway? Can we fly Shelby in for the Wet T contest???

I figure between George, Curt, Paul, and I we can come up with airfare.

A Chevie? When you could get a cummins? Toss it up Earl... You're a truck expert. We're looking at getting a majorly big fifth wheel trailer with living quarters and car area big enough to house not just a 13' long 2040lbs honduh, but also a 16.9' long 3500lbs Road Runner. I've only towed fifth whee...

Re: NO$ Practice Event

When you elect to organize the practice with specific run groups you try to avoid forcing a car to do 6 runs instead of 3 in the same heat. Can it be done? Sure. But why make it hard???? Its always something.... Attention George Schilling. You are suppose to be running interference for me lest I los...

Re: NO$ Practice Event

Whoops....... Looked at the run schedule for the practice. I don't think you're going to want to make that change to the "tried and true" afterall. I don't see how it can work for multiple driver cars. Every group runs with every other atleast once, so you can't keep two drivers in the sam...

2500 versus 3500 Trucks

Thinking about trucks today.... Specifically, Dodge Ram RWD Mega Cab Cummins Automatics... Target towing weight 14K lbs Fifth Wheel Also my primary vehicle, not that I drive all that much anymore. Dancing Girls and lecherous old men.

Its about time! I've been waiting for dancing girls at an autocross for a long time. }:) So far I've had to settle for making Ashley run to cones. Come to think it of it, that was pretty entertaining, but watching it in the rear view mirror screwed up my downhill speed in the last section.

From the DL1 FAQ---- How often do you get GPS position updates? The GPS system calculates position every 200ms (5 Hz), however this data is combined with the data from the accelerometers to calculate position 100 times every second with very high accuracy. How accurately is speed measured? With aver...
