Re: HJC AR10 Size XL

Yup. More than meets it. It's an SA2005 helmet which is valid for all forms of auto racing. Feel free to give me a ring. I'm in Pasadena.

Local spot to buy a helmet

So, I'm in the market for an SA2005 helmet and was hoping to get one locally so I can try a few on. Anyone know of a place?

HJC AR10 Size XL - SOLD

SOLD

I have a practically new HJC AR10 in white - size XL

I'm selling this for a friend that moved out of the country. I believe he only used it twice. It looks brand new! I would use it (as I need a new helmet), but it doesn't fit. How does $150 sound?

After lunch run groups...

OK. This must be my dumbest question to date... I've always run morning groups so I'm curious about the timing of the second set of run groups. Is there a rule of thumb on timing when to get to the event if you run "after lunch"? I have a wife and kids, so as most of you know every second ...

AXWare Credits

I should have a credit for the canceled event that happened at Cal Speedway some time ago. I can't for the life of me figure out how to see if I have that credit or not. Help!

Re: Transmission is in!

Not a ton to see, but I do have some good carnage pictures from the very first "box of rocks" transmission. I drove the car to work today. So nice to have it back...

Transmission is in!

My Franken-Transmission (made from the corpses of three transmissions) is in and seems to be working well. I probably won't make this weekends race, but will gun for the April event.

WTB - 914 side-shift transmission

I know this is a total long shot, but I'm after a good, used 914 side-shift transmission. Mine gave up after the practice event on Sunday.

Re: Jan 24-25 Practice Event Thread

I had so much fun. Thanks to all involved for putting this on!!! My transmission decided to scatter a bearing (I think) on the last run of the day. At least it waited until then... I was really going to have to struggle to stay awake on the drive home instead I got a nice ride in a warm tow truck! A...

Re: Jan 24-25 Practice Event Thread

So is there anything else we need to know about this event? Should we bring the copy of our registration conformation? Is there Tech? On and on... I've never done a practice event, so I want to be able to take full advantage and not miss out or muck anything up.

Thanks!

Those Radio Shack units look interesting. I'd probably put it on a switch or a pot (to turn it down) so I don't learn to hate my car before I start it!

Re: WTB - Warning Light

The car has a mini-sump (aka "Tuna Can") all ready which is suppose to get you 95% of the way there. I just can't see the idiot light behind the Momo steering wheel. I'd love to change that thing out for a bigger one... Anybody wanna trade?

Re: WTB - Warning Light

Oh boy... I should have known better than to post here. :D I'm pretty use to keeping an eye pealed for lights from my drag race days, but no reason why I couldn't do both! I have a trailer light that I got for free that I was going to hook up, but it's so dim it's almost useless... Where would I get...

WTB - Warning Light

I need a shift light style warning light so that I can actually see if my oil pressure light happens to blink at me. Anyone have anything the are willing to unload for cheap?

Re: Ah... a rev limiter!

Getting your valve train geometry perfect and running 911 swivel foot adjusters has pretty much cured that. If yours were going tight that's another problem all together. :barf:
