Re: I don't remember this contingency...

Looking at the name of that .jpg file concerns me. I'm hoping you needed a few extra photos for the police and insurance, not that you have at least 13 other pics of...well...yeah. ROTFLMAO. Very astute Rev. Dr. You'd have to ask Ethan about penis001.jpg - penis013.jpg (and beyond?)...I just downlo...

Re: Mini driver passes after WSIR incident.

There's talk in the thread about prompting BW to do something about the clay/mud whatever that's there. Grass or gravel traps. Personally, I'd rather see asphalt in some places at both tracks, although my experience at BW is East Loop only. Supposedly (according to Formula 1 research) asphalt is a ...

That sounds a tad high, when you can get a brand spankin new 2008 loaded w/ sport package, optional wheels, LSD and a bunch of other tasty stuff for around $25K. Did he add any aftermarket goodies?

Can you tell I've been shopping/pricing out my next car? :heyes:

Re: Went to my first event and it was great

One more hint: You might want to work the course before you drive it. I've found you can learn a lot about a given section of the course by watching other people drive it. You'll see the difference between those who take a given complex of turns well, and those who don't--speed in and out of the tur...

How about heartrate displayed on the virtual dashboard?
The true test is whether it can monitor sphincter tightness.

Re: Cracquisition

One of the main things we use it for during an event is to determine whether to use 3rd gear. For instance, on my first run on Sunday, I went to 3rd twice and we then looked at the data to see the terminal speed I reached when i did that. It showed that by the time I shifted, I got no faster than j...

Re: Solo2.com site status

The web host sent me an email saying that they moved the site to another server. My site monitoring software is still running and has reported no downtime today. Really bad service when it takes three weeks to get one hours of server work done (if that) but it saves me a week of precious evenings t...

Re: Site opinions

By the time I reduce my pic to that size I can't even tell what it is I had the same problem, then I remembered that Photoshop has a "Save for Web and Devices" command, which strips out all the extraneous crap and makes the pictures small enough to work. If you don't have PS, I don't know...

Re: 05/25/08 Casoc Event (results are up)

Some of my lines on the course were pretty "creative" because I had a little trouble getting my head up to look for where I was supposed to go next. Yeah, it's amazing how much better you drive when you can see where you're supposed to be going  Last event (my first), I DNF'd one of ...

Re: 05/25/08 Casoc Event (results are up)

I go to wide open throttle in second gear on the exit of the turn but you can see the tachometer hardly moves. More than likely your traction control (or whatever they call it now)is on. The newer the car the more layers of "safety" are built in. In my 330i I sometimes forget to turn it o...

One more question about 5/25...it sounds like I won a trophy. Do I pick it up at the next event or what?

Re: F1 - Monaco Grand Prix

That's happened to everyone I've spoken with, on multiple types of systems. Stayed up late last night watching it. 3 minutes to do at 1:30am and it stops. Had to look up the winner on the website. I learned really quickly, after a couple similar incidents, to record an hour after the event is suppo...

Re: 05/25/08 Casoc Event (results are up)

Lil bro ran 69 in fun runs! Does that count for something? I'm pretty proud of him. That's pretty damned impressive. The best I hit on an X run was a 73.022...didn't quite get into the 72s like I wanted. But my times were consistent all day almost all 73s and 74s with the odd 75 mixed in. I was rea...

Re: 05/25/08 Casoc Event (results are up)

Format is basically like I do it. I just edit the car types down to a reasonable size so that column isn't so big and edit out the file info at the top and bottom of each page. The trophy info is still screwed up , have to work on that when I get my hands on the computer. I may go get them before t...

Re: 05/25/08 Casoc Event (results are up)

Wow...my first post on the new board. Woo hoo! Anyway, I hate to be a pain in the butt, and I'm ecstatic to have placed 4th in SK2, but I actually ran in D Stock as a novice. Anyone know who I should talk to about getting my results switched to the novice class? BTW, I had a great time this weekend!...
