Re: Strut camber bolts in Steet Tire classes

I don't see the slotting of the holes being an actual safety problem. If it were in any way, the manufacturer wouldn't recommend it (especially multi-scorned Ford), this just sounds like CYA talk. Now undersized 'crash' bolts, in combo with our high G activity have been known to slip incessantly. Bu...

Enduro RallyX Club, May 16 Johnson Valley

Ready to try the Enduro RallyX?!? Basic jist - One car at a time does continous lapping for approximately 25minutes. Highest number of laps wins! There's some boring tiebreaker stuff, but you can read that on the main CalClubRallyX page: http://www.CalClubRallyX.com Due to this being an 'unsanctione...

Re: Just 4fun, dyno run of the rebuild M20B25 in our FP car

Also I e-mailed the San Diego BMWCAA in San Diego and asked their requirements - they said 80db before 12pm and 92 after? The Qualcomm contract is something like that, but they've got their numbers a bit wrong (especially in the morning). dB is serious stuff in San Diego though. Don't go until you'...

Re: ES Build for a 99 Miata

According to the Motortrend website, air conditioning is not listed under the leather or popular equipment packages. So can I remove it? Search the solo rule book hard, I thought I saw the AC could always be removed. AC componets out of my '93 added up to 34lbs. Can Power steering be replaced with ...

Porterfield often has one or two types in Costa Mesa for low price. Big SCCA supporters too. I'd give them a call to see what they have.

George and all...So excited about this ProSolo. I had a great time at the regional in El Toro earlier in March. This will be my first ProSolo and fortunately, I had the resources and encouragement to sign up for this in early March from a few other drivers I met at El Toro. (Thank you Adam T...) So...

I've got a couple events coming up and need some extra bodies. Mar 3/26, Thursday - Willow Springs mini AutoX: I need two more people to help me put on a mini AutoX. The hours are only about 9:30-3:30, but the commute will make it a long day. We'll have a car pool organized from somewhere in Orange ...

First, along with the usual practice starts, there will be a "no work" Test n Tune" on site from 12 pm to 4 pm. Although the cost has yet to be determined, per run cost should be very close to that of a standard CSCC practice. Work will not be required. Tickets for individual runs ma...

Mar 14-15 Porterfield RallyX Season Opener

First RallyX of the season at Glen Helen is right just 2 1/2 weeks away. We tend to get a big crowd for the opener, and last week's RallyX at Ridgecrest was record breaking. Feb 28, Inyokern Airport

The Navy men from the desert are putting on a mini AutoX on Feb 28th. At the Inyokern Airport. It'll be a Good Guys style micro course, but should be plenty of runs and is fairly cheap. It'll mostly be novices from the China Lake base, but they'd love to get some AutoX veterans out there and could u...

Not showing up Sun would also create a worker issue for that morning. National events have far more special jobs and everything has to be planned out carefully. A missing worker creates a real logistical problem. If its really, really, really a special case, you can coordinate this with the Nationa...

Why can't we put in some language that states that these rides are intended for entertainment purposes and should not be used for instruction during competition runs. Drivers who abuse this can be protested for sportsmanship reasons. Because that's how we end up with 300p rule books that no one rea...

I thought I over heard there was a new policy on passengers at champ events. Is this true, and if so can someone outline it for me. Thanks,
