Re: Membership Poll...How long is too long?

If I may.... stick my neck out...of the box.... It might be useful to take a step back and look at this from a bigger perspective, and think about a real paradigm shift. There are two points of view at work here - one from a club perspective and one from a business perspective. And two groups of peo...

Re: Cordless Impact

If you do an on-line search for best tested cordless impact the Milwaukee 2767-22 – Gen 2 usually comes out on top. But...... it's also stupid expensive. The DeWALT DCF899P2 is rated a "most Bang for the $" and both will break loose any lug/stud. ( you still need a torque wrench  ) ...

Re: Cordless Impact

I have the Makita 9v impact that I used for years while I changed tires at events. I no longer do that so haven't used it for quite a while. It does make things go a little faster but a 9v system doesn't have the torque to break free lugs/studs or take them to proper torque when putting lugs/studs o...

Re: December Events Open for Registration - New Format for Sunday Championship

From an SSS prospective..... I would caution against going too light on key positions in fun runs. Gate is mandatory as is an SSS being there. But there needs to be a "Voice of God" position that has an active overview, and control, of what's going on. That could be a person in the motorho...

My SSS license hasn't been processed yet at the home office but I'm still a Youth Steward. If you're in a pinch you can always put me down for that.

Re: Volunteers - April 2017

If you do Yutes Tom, I believe the only parents would be David Barrish, Robert Baltazar, Mike Nakata and Will Kalman. Robert, Mike, and Will are very experienced and can help with how we have been separating grid, spacing the karts, and the latest high points in tech. Which is why I don't mind doin...

Re: Volunteers - April 2017

Oddly enough, I still have a Youth Stewart license. Which I have in case there is literally no one else that can do it just so the kids can run. If someone else more involved in that group can do it, it would be better. Otherwise I can fill in.

Re: Setup questions- new to Street class

or....... you could keep the car and run a few events with it to see if you want to make that larger commitment. One of your biggest competitors in AS so far this season is another auto tran Vette..... which did very well last season. I'm from the school of "don't spend money unless you have to...

Re: When to flip RE71R

All of us in stock classes can't go beyond the factory limits on front end negative camber. So in cornering, most of what we do, we're going to grind off that outer third of our tires. This was my argument for allowing camber plates in stock class. Which was shot down. Still not sure why. Some cars ...

Re: When to flip RE71R

These tires feel good right till the end. From the looks I'd flip them right now so they'd be pretty even by the time they finish. I flipped mine a while back and now have almost no tread left....and over a 100 runs.... and they still feel pretty good. Not like new, and wouldn't use them if I were i...

Does anyone know an SCCA member in the Baltimore area that might/could be interested in looking at a car for me? Thanks, Tom.
