Re: Whoo Hoo! The PRO Solo is Here!

The extra $50 for Evo school is a bit much at the moment and I'm not sure how much of Friday I can attend. I was a bit hesitant to even do this at $130. Practice runs are $20 For 4 and are recommended. The hole shot school is a good value. Maybe find a friend to co drive and in return for a ride an...

Worker Preferences Tips and Tricks

For the March event I developed a process by which the work assignments can be assigned beforehand. This was done for a few reasons; 1) To ensure the people that were listed as not able to run for long periods were placed as best as possible. 2) To ensure that we have all the core positions covered ...

Re: 2018 Event Statistics

Some more data for everyone retrieved manually and mostly because people have "feelings" about how often we say "hold the start". Aside from the gap between run groups where we are only running 1 car at a time, which is being addressed there was... 1 gap of 1:30 2 gaps of 1:00 1 ...

Re: 2018 Event Statistics

Interesting stuff for sure. Just remember DNF's aren't always do to course design and newbies. I can tell you one of the DNF's in group 2 came from a certain CAM driver that had someone whispering in their ear Saturday to try and carry more speed through corners. That certain CAM driver may have fo...

Re: 2018 Event Statistics

Thanks for that, Anthony. Interesting numbers. Don't shoot me, but the next logical step would be to find what sections those DNFs came from. I'm only curious from an SSS point of view. The changes I made were first and foremost for worker safety. But I wouldn't mind plugging holes elsewhere just t...

Re: 2018 Event Statistics

I find these stats after the events every helpful. Another category I'd like to see is a breakdown group by group. I have to do that manually, so thank you for a compelling reason to do so. Very interesting in that your change may of had a local effect but didn't change the numbers of dnf's on aver...

Re: 2018 Event Statistics

Here are the stats for the February event. A couple notes on the event for context later. -25 min start delay (our average being 8 min), Networking setup issues that are a 1 time occurrence, preventing pre-review of the msr data before being imported. -25 min delay during the event for a car that bl...

Re: WTB: Tire Blankets

Bill Schenker found with his testing that using the 4' wrap, but around the entire car worked better than individual tires. However, for this to be legal and not-considered an active heating device you'll want to turn your car off before wrapping it.

They want to host a school in conjunction with tnia. They have asked for 4 helpers and 1 person who can work the timing addition to the trailer and cones. Helpers needed in the am and pm, timing just needed in the afternoon. Free afternoon runs for volunteers.

Re: 2018 Updates to Online Registration (MSR)

One of the talks during the SCCA convention was from MSR and how to get the most from their system as well as giving feedback to them to continue to develop their product to meet our needs. One of the things discussed was how many people they send event information emails to. So, like we have alread...

Updates to Online Registration (MSR)

Better late than never. I’m going to be posting a list of updates to MotosportReg online registration as the year progresses. This will hopefully highlight the how and why behind the changes to MSR. Eventually I will also be positing a video of how to register and the options. The main reason we are...

Re: How to tell which group is running?

Assuming live timing is now repaired and will work moving forward, wouldn't that be as good as any form of notification? It is automatic, doesn't required any additional outside inputs, and doesn't rely on someone remembering to perform additional task(s). It's the KISS method. But it's been down d...

Re: How to tell which group is running?

I have no idea how much work it would be, but how about a cell phone app? I looked to see if our new website platform has the ability to send text messages, and it doesn't look like it (I'll have to do more research). There's no point to an additional app that's not our website, and since our site ...

Re: 2018 Event Statistics

From what I observed from up on the berm someone directing traffic a little at grid may have helped some. The third group seemed to have bunched up a bit much over by the multi-driver lanes while the ones closer to the paddock seemed empty. Also maybe color coordinating the cones to mark some of th...

Re: 2018 Event Statistics

In my group the multi-driver lanes overflowed, but there were empty lanes further out. We just needed another designated multi lane. People are supposed to fill from the outsides, but that doesn't happen. Herding cats. When im in grid, even when im competing, I look to help new people and those in ...
