Re: First time (again), passing tech in an older car
Hi Eric, You shouldn't have any problems with an older car that's in decent shape in tech. The most common problem that we run into in tech is a loose battery (the battery itself, not cables). We need that thing mounted in there securely. We don't want it rolling around and having those terminals ba...

Re: The September Events Are Open for Registration
Matthew would like to do Tech, or if Kai or somebody else really wants to do it, Matt would like to work tech. Either way, I've already got some emails from folks who would like to volunteer for Saturday tech and I also have an email for a Friday course setup volunteer as well. I can share with whoe...

Re: Looking for course set up help 8/18 3pm
Well....I didn't want to add that complication, but if somebody wants to do it they can. This is the new proper way to get to our site. They did a lot of cleanup for some Great Park event, so now it's nice new public roads till that gate off of Skyhawk and that taxi way is cleaned up as well. This e...

Re: Looking for course set up help 8/18 3pm
OK guys, here's the new best way to get in (and still have your car clean!). We'll have the gate open at 6:00 am (or call me if anybody wants to get there earlier). If you go this way, you'll avoid the giant gravel trap that we've been driving through for the past few months. Note: the Astor entranc...

Re: New to Autocross and Racing
There are a couple of ways to go with the numbers. Since you probably purchased a temporary number, I wouldn't go out and spend any money on magnets or vinyl or whatever. Our rules specify numbers at least 8" tall and our class designation (i.e. AS, CST, whatever) at least 4" tall. A typic...

FYI: We do have loaner helmets if you do not own your own helmet. They are at the motorhome/timing rig. Just leave your driver's license on the clipboard and please return the helmet as soon as you are done running (or riding). And take Chad up on his offer for a ride....fun car! And when ...

Re: Novice school for 2017?
The board has been discussing the possibility of a novice school for several months now, but as of yet, no club has stepped up to chair the event (not that there necessarily has to be a specific club, I'm sure any small group of dedicated people or a joint club effort could put the event together). ...

Ok great. We just registered and are set for Sunday. I did notice that when registering it didn't give me the option for morning or afternoon. I am only available morning. Re: New guys
That is correct. You are registering the drivers, not the car.
We do have an option to split practice entries so that two drivers can split the day's practice runs, but not on Sundays.
