Dunno, but two of the guys I've helped out these past few months were ahead of me in PAX at the last event - one in my own class!Curt Luther wrote:I've "instructed" twice now. I've never seen these people again. Is there a message here?

You don't *need* one. Just time-wasters, really.

If you have the VIN #, you can call Mazda directly to find out what options the car had originally. Not 100% reliable from what I've heard, though.

PAX index and how it's applied to final results
CalClub Solo2 results for Novice, SK1, SK2, HST (on 140+ treadwear tires), and PAX are all based on the annually-updated PAX index, a study of results from Solo2 events from around the nation. It is a theoretical index to show how the same driver would perform in the cars from the various classes wi...

Re: Went to my first event and it was great
Hi Alan,
Glad to hear you had a good time and will be coming out again in June. As far as pushing through the turns: brake earlier! You've got to slow down to make those turns.
Was it you that was asking me how the Novice class was scored at the end of the day?

I like how a thread originally started about me ends up being about Ron. Typical CalClub thread drift.
Thanks for the compliments, they're much appreciated.

Re: 05/25/08 Casoc Event (results are up)
Lil bro ran 69 in fun runs! Does that count for something? I'm pretty proud of him. Don't know that I agree that practices are ruining autocross, though. They still helped me a lot. I find practices good for test-n-tune when you've installed something new or changed settings - also, if you're worki...
