I'm having trouble following why we want to make the RTR/RTA/RTF class letters different for our local region than the national events. Seems confusing to me. How are you going to differentiate between the different classes in the system if you don't have the Rear/Front/AWD designation? If we have an Integra Type R or MS3 and a BMW 128i or 335i show up, they would both be DSK cars, but wouldn't be competing against each other (unless they were both Novices), as ITR and MS3 is RTF and the BMWs are RTR.
I'm only talking about Novice. The only relevant info beyond NOV is the base class, not some other possible indexed class the car could be in. In NOV it can be any other class plus SSK through HSK to allow for stock cars on street tires.
If someone is running in RTR/RTA/RTF then that is their class letters plus the appropriate stock class.

No one ever agrees here... it is a cluster f***. whatever class letters you put on your car, there will always be someone telling you to change it. Oh, and don't bother to make sensible suggestions; the system is firmly entrenched.
With my unclasifiable car, I just race with the other clubs, like PCA, where "X" class covers all the square pegs, and the organizers are not so anal.

Sour grapes much?
I'm sorry if you had a bad experience and you are entitled to have your opinion, but there are two sides to every story. Several of us tried helping you and you countered many of our suggestions. Yes, we have a lot of rules, but we all here choose to play by them and we would like those who wish to participate with us to play by the same rules.

This IS a National Organization. Without closely supervised rules how else do you have National events and Championships where results are decided by the Thousandth of a second?! Regionally we DO have "Run What You Brung" classes that cover most everyone's vehicle.
Rules are fine, as long as they are clear and apply to everyone equally, which they absolutely are not, in my experience with this organization. When I tried to play the game, I got the royal shaft from king KJ....yes, I am bitter about it.

"We wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas...we WISH you a Merry Christmas...and a Happy New Year." SERIOUSLY!
I'd like to begin autocrossing in 2013 and was hoping you all could help me class my car
95 Civic 3DR DX
D15B7 (stock motor) however has the camshaft from a CRX Si
92-95 Civic EX Transmission
AEM short ram intake
stock exhaust manifold/cat/piping/muffler
two front seats however the rear is completely gutted, no plastic paneling or seats.
14" wheels with regular old passenger vehicle tires
Any help is appreciated!! Thank you in advance.

Funny, I was toying with the idea of naming my car the Colonial Viper for a while. Actually changed my signature. Then decided on ACME Special.
