The next couple of practice events are likely to be over subscribed due to the upcoming Nationals. Priority is given to those attending Nationals in September. That being said, it doesn't hurt to sign up and see what happens. Sunday events do not have an entry limit so no problem getting in them, plus there are dedicated instructors and other Novice benefits on Sunday. You are also welcome to show up on Saturday for ride alongs and just to see how events are run.

Manny,

Just sign up for an event. There are really nice people that will give you advice and all the help you need. I recommend getting there early, register and attend the novice course walk. Find people in your class and ask questions. By the way, don't modify your car to go fast. Learning to drive will give you a much larger benefit and keep you in a class you will have a better chance in once you get a feel for things.

+1 for Danny's comments.

If you want to get involved, just sign up for an event and get out there. We a very friendly bunch and we'll get you right into the fray!

There's still time to sign up for this Sunday's event, and we've got several resources to help first-timers and novices out. If you come out Sunday, you'll either run in the morning or afternoon session (either way, registration and tech close at 12:00, so if you run in the afternoon, you need to be checked in and have your car tech'd by noon). We have a guided novice course walk put on by our Novice Coordinator Leonard Cachola....morning walk is at 8:00 and he'll do one at lunch as well if there's anybody interested (anybody interested in going faster should attend these guided walks....Leonard does a great job!). We also have dedicated Instructor lanes where you can get free instruction from one of our expert driving instructors. If you don't have a helmet, we have free loaner helmets available (just please return them immediately when you are done using them, enquire at driver's meeting).

You don't need to wait for a practice event, just sign up for any event and get out there. We'll all help you. Just let registration know its your first time out, and they'll point you in the right direction. You'll have a great time, make some new friends, and vastly improve your driving skills!

Same comments as Randy. Come on out and let us know you're new and we'll get you setup with some ridealongs and instruction. We are just one local event away from many of our members attending nationals so many of us will be a bit dialed in and focused on our cars but if you let us know you're new we'll find some people to help you out!
