The Executive Board, as part of our duties outlined in section 4.10.10 of the supplemental regulations, have decided to set the fees for 2009 Championship Events as follows:
Primary Runs (Competitive or Time Only)
Pre-registration with on-line payment: $30
Pre-registration with on-site payment: $30
All others: $40

X-Runs
$25
These fees are consistent with the general consensus voted on by the club reps at the September CSCC Solo Committee Meeting.

The reduction in from $31 to $30 for on-line payment is intended to remove the disincentive for pre-payment. Additionally, the Executive Board is directing that registration should consist of at least two lines, one for pre-registered and one for all others. Additional lines may be added as necessary to cover SCCA temporary memberships and work assignments.

Further, the Executive Board recognizes that there are system limitations that currently prevent those who pre-register from utilizing discounts and Solo$. Once system limitations related to entry discounts and the use of Solo$ are alleviated, the Executive Board intends to the adjust the pricing to the following fee structure:
Primary Runs (Competitive or Time Only)
Pre-registration with on-line payment: $30
Pre-registration with on-site payment: $35
All others: $40

X-Runs
$25
Edited 5/20/2009 to change the required lines from pre-paid and others to pre-registered and others.

I want to highlight - Registration will consist of at least two lines:

Those who have pre-paid.
And everyone else.

In the past if you pre-registered, as did the majority, you were waiting in the longer line. We won't distinguish on that criteria now, but we will separate pre-payments because check-in for those people is quite speedy.

Edited to add: Hosting clubs may choose to add a third line for those people who have pre-registered but not pre-paid.

For the people who don't pre-pay I strongly suggest bringing exact payment so you don't face a delay waiting for change.

To document a clarification in X-Run pricing (first post modified above):

X-runs cost $25 regardless of who is purchasing them.
