What's the story on space for extra "goods" (wheels, tires, spares)? I might consider this, but fear I have an unreasonable amount of extra stuff that needs transport; almost none of it fits in the car.

Unless we have an extra vehicle on board to hold extra stuff, there is no room on the transport other than what you can fit in the car. Being as it looks like there is enough plenty of interest already, I doubt there will be room to an "extra" storage vehicle.

Just out of curiosity, and for future reference, what is the cost of doing this per car?

You can give your friends some gas money to put the little stuff in their trailers that they are towing out.

Hey Rick, thanks again for putting this together. Looks like we can, with a high degree of confidence, look at booking airline flights?

For those that are asking price, Richard can and will give the answer... but in the past we paid $1100-1300 if I recall correctly.

I figured costs as follows:

Fuel $680
Hotels (2 nights) $150
Food for 4 days $100
So close to $1000

On the other hand, I will now pay for a round trip flight for two people. And a rental car. So that should just about wash out with the savings.

So the net is I pay a bit over $1000 to save on the wear and tear on me and the truck... and allows me to work instead for 4 days instead of driving. Totally worth it.

We should arrange one for Wendover and Packwood. :)

No promises, but I hope to get it down to ~ $1,000 this year. So for most, it's $500 with a codriver.
Randy brought up some good points. And those on a budget can save some more. Some don't need to rent a car. They share a ride to/from the airport, and use their race car to get around locally.
I think there are flights to Omaha for $260.

KJ, I though someone else asked me about the transporter earlier? Was it you? If so, I'll try to work something out.

Yep. That was me, after I found out fearless leader got my ticket from last year.

Re: Transporter A & B - Sign Up List

List updated. We most likely now have the minimum for 2 transporters.

2-4 spots left. The goal is to fill it, so we can get the price down per car.

Thanks,

Rick

I think you were 10th, but I needed to put Jay on the 'porter going to AZ.

You will like Transporter "B", as I'm thinking of having a Northern loading location for it, in addition to the Southern OC location for "A". Once we get closer to the date, we can reorganise the groups according to locale.
