Which tires to get? BFG or Bridgestone

I was going to get Bridgestone RE71R tires for my car but BFG has recently released a Rival S 1.5 in 305/30/19. I know Paul Molina has been testing them against the RE71 on his mustang. I'm waiting a little to see some of his results but I thought I'd ask others too. The price difference is about $120, esentially the cost to mount and balance a set of tires. What are eeryone's thoughts? The car is heavy, 3700ish lbs. and there will be two drivers. Will boths brands need to be sprayed down between runs?

First.. the tested numbers:

IMHO:
The BFGs are basically as fast as RE71s. The RE71 is generally a stiffer carcass, and a little sharper, where as the BFGs enjoy a little more slip angle.
I also believe the Stones are a little better in the wet, but this may be referencing the older BFG compound which had a larger need to heat up than i believe the current ones need.

It sounds like your decision may be based around tire sizing and availability.. depending on wheel width, that might be unnecessary, but if the wheels can properly fit and handle the wider BFG, i'd say it's worth a shot.

Whatever tires I get will be mounted on 19x11 wheels. I'll be getting them in 305/30/19. I'm seriously considering the BFG because I have heard they take heat better.
Although I read yesterday that Goodyear will be producing the Supercar 3 in a bunch of new sizes. They will have a 305/30/19 also. I really liked those tires as they took heat like a champ and never faded or got greasy at the track, even with a 48min drive session. But I'm not sure when the new sizes will be available or if they will be as quick as the Rival/RE. But I ran on a new set last event and didn't do too bad (if I had run BS instead of CAM I would have had the class win and been 7th in the PAX results).

BFG is the go to for CAM. That said, they will overheat on track fairly easily but the only autocross tire I've driven on that works more than 1-2 laps on track is the Yokohoma A052.
