Do you think you'll be able to push the car on the trailer okay?

If there has been no offers, I can help and Kurt's window of 12:00 - 1:30 on Saturday works for me if you think we need the help.

Miata. Very nice one I thought.

I helped Craig move it today. He rented a tow dolly. I drove my truck.

Less hassle than getting tie downs arranged, airing up trailer tires and trying to figure out how to get the car up on the trailer. This way was pretty painless. Just cost Craig a little coin. I was glad to help with the truck. I'm not doing anything til Thursday (snip cut drill remove graft suture rinse repeat).

Craig went the lemming route. Wise choice in my opinion. Hard to imagine any car having more parts availabily, support, and knowledge base than the miata. And easy to find people to work on it. The oddball idea was really cool. But I don't think it would have been a good fit for Craig's car crafting abilities. Craig's gift is driving skill.

Thanks to all who responded, and a BIG thank you to Steve for helping me move the car. I still know where the IZ... is, and I found an engine for it with under 50k on it (the day after I bought the Miata). Finding a replacement engine was my biggest concern for that car.

Then there's the non-existent rear shocks, non-existent rear CV joints, the non-existent turbo (since the engine was torn apart, I had no way to determine the status of the turbo).... the list goes on. On the other hand, the car was rust free, and in just as good shape at the Miata.

You found an engine so I shouldn't look into what it would take to fix the one that is in the car?

I think he was talking about the hypothetical IZ project.

Steve's correct,

I was responding to the prior post, saying that the day after pulling the trigger on that car that Eric has to work on.... one of the people looking for an engine for the "IZ"..., found one...., but the Engine (although the biggest) was only one of the potential stumbling blocks on rebuilding the "IZ"....
