Will we still be able to pre-reg for events through this forum or will there be some other link?

You've never pre-reg'd through a forum.

One thing I like about our old site is the Find Other Members ... I like being able to put in the Club, and get all of the members listed. I hope we can continue to have that feature with our new board.

The old site will remain as-is, only the message boards are changed. And account management (password, profile, etc) is still over there. Changes to accounts on the "old" site propagate here.

Since I don't spend a lot of time on forums, this is going to take some getting used to so I think I will reserve comment until I figure out how to navigate the system.

By the way, I concur with Peter. Mike, you gotta change your avatar. ;)

How about a link back to the main site? Kinda thought the logo at the top would do it, but that just takes you to the forum index page. Or maybe the Message Board link on the Solo2 page opens these forums in a new window instead of leaving the Solo2 page. But if you set this as a favorite, a link to Solo2.com would still be nice. And/or add it in the Jump to: choices below. I also liked that links in messages on the old board opened a new window instead of just taking you there. (Yes, I know I can do that by right clicking.)

The link(s) on the solo2.com site are temporary. But I will make it so that the forums open in a new windows.

OK, so every time I think I understand web stuff I get frustrated. What does it take to get a decent avitar? Seems like the size requirements are tiny here. By the time I reduce my pic to that size I can't even tell what it is  What is the optimum file type? I've tried JPEG, GIF, TIFF, BMP. 120 pixels at 72 dpi is always bigger than 19k. The ones I see sure look crisper than what I've been able to make. The one I've put on every other board is too big here.

I saved mine as a gif in Photoshop and had no problems getting it (120x120px) under the size limit.

I hosted my pic in photobucket and edited it to resize to meet the 120x120 size limits for the avitars on this site. It was either South Park Curt or a bikini shot...

...and no, Paul, not MY bikini shot, that's just for you. I hate losing bets :x
