By the time I reduce my pic to that size I can't even tell what it is
Rick,

I was having the same problem in PS. No matter how small the pixel size the file was always 28K which is too big for an avatar. But.... if you pick "Save for Web" instead of just Save As or Save, it shrinks the size to an appropriate amount without lowering the resolution from the 110x110 pixel size or whatever it is. But I see you have an avatar so maybe you figured this out anyway.

I had the same problem, then I remembered that Photoshop has a "Save for Web and Devices" command, which strips out all the extraneous crap and makes the pictures small enough to work. If you don't have PS, I don't know what to tell you.

Thanks everybody for the help. Ashley's suggestion of saving as a GIF worked. I may try the save for web feature to see if it's any better. I don't use PhotoShop enough to know all the features, and not at all for web graphics.

When Aaron set up the forums he was trying to keep the number of forums to a minimum so that there weren't 10 forums sitting idle for extended periods of time. Tires, setup and mechanics seem to fit nicely in the solo talk forum so feel free to ask those questions here! :D

To find other members, it appears one has to post the name exactly or it won't come up. Can we change that features so that we can search from just a few letters instead of the whole name?

I tested using a wildcard, i.e. To find any name that starts with pet type, pet* the asterik at the end is key.

The Solo2 site won't let me post a revised course map for the CASOC event. I keep getting an error message when I tell it to load. Are we having a problem with that function?

It's the first I've heard of this problem. I'll look into it.

Will, the old site won't let me update the team points file also. I get the following error message:

Error occurred when creating final destination files. Please check the NTFS permissions for the directory "C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\" and the directory containing the file "E:\kunden\homepages\9\d172853084\solo2\Results\2008_team_points.pdf". John, try the points and photo uploads again. The web host didn't copy over my file settings when they moved the site to a new server.

So that wouldn't be a "computero", but a typo... right? (Typewriter.)
