That wee bit of rust is called "Illinois Lace". What you see is only the Tip of the ice berg.

The only thing that saved the rocker's of the '73 Jag XJ12 I purchased in '83 was the content stream of oil generated by the engine. The head light buckets were rusty, go figure.

also allows you to mount the suspension solid and let the body twist handle the travel :thumbup:
